An amazing experience in the rainforest from the aerial tram (unique in Panama) to observe the canopy from above and we will find different species of birds and with little luck sloths and monkeys.
After a 600 meters route on the aerial tram we will reach the Observation Tower for panoramic views of the Soberania National Park, the Chagres River, the Panama Canal, and some native Emberá villages.
Later we will visit the Sloth Sanctuary where we will observe and learn about life and habits of sloths and the efforts for the conservation of the species.

What To Expect
Gamboa
After picking you up at your hotel we will go to the rainforest. After a 45-minute drive we will arrive to Gamboa where we will board a gondola in the aerial tram (unique in Panama) to observe the canopy from above and we will find different species of birds and with little luck sloths and monkeys. After a 600 meters route on the aerial tram we will reach the Observation Tower for panoramic views of the Soberania National Park, the Chagres River, the Panama Canal, and some native Emberá villages.
Gamboa
Later we will visit the Sloth Sanctuary where we will observe and learn about life and habits of the sloths and the efforts for the conservation of the species. We will visit the Butterfly House where we will observe the butterflies that live in the rainforest and we will also visit the orchid and frog exhibitions. We will return to Panama City after a 45-minutes ride.

3.00It is a quiet experience, too high the price for what it is.For family with children, it can be pleasant, for adults does not have great expectations.It goes very slowly, you do not see any animals, you see some landscape, but from the viewpoint you have already seen the same landscape.There is discrimination depends on nationality, the Spanish speakers are ignored, example we had time to see the sloths at 11, and they had almost an hour to pick us up, and passed a group of Englishmen, in one basket they made two tourists enter, and when going to go up they tell us that they do not have to go alone, because it is a group and it was so unpleasant the answer of the staff of the attraction, that I replied if I thought we would catch it, some disease from riding in the basket that was for 6 people, and there were 4 , because we had to wait for another basket and they put us with other Spanish speakers. Attention and explanation is not the same for Spanish speakers as other languages. They wanted to keep us waiting until 13 hours to go to see the sloths because as in our schedule had passed the group, at 12 nol there was a visit, we called the agency, and at the end they visited us the sloths at 12 hours, you see them in some baskets because they are sick and are taking care of them. There is also a butterfly area that is beautiful.

3.00Nice visit to the rainforest. It is not really a wildlife viewing opportunity but some nice view of river and canal. The sloth sanitary was ok but preferred the Smithsonian one we had visited the previous day where the Sloths in natural environment and exhibits had more information. A nice day but felt over priced for what you saw on the tour. Guide was friendly.

5.00Alejandro picked us up promptly. There were only three of us on this tour, which made it almost a private tour. Although it was a little rainly, we had a great day, Alejandro was prepared with rain ponchos. We were able to see a sloth in the wild, which is apparently quite rare, and certainly a unique experience. A great way to spend a day outside the city. Thanks Alejandro.

5.00We had an amazing time! Oliver, our guide was knowledgeable and worldly and able to discuss anything Panama, including all the flora and fauna we saw. The aerial tram above the rain forest was relaxing and peaceful, and the view from the tower amazing. The sloth sanctuary was fun and also included a butterfly area and tree frog sanctuary! Oliver was a wonderful source of information and answered everything thrown at him graciously.
We were very pleased with this trip. A positive experience from the first to the last moment. Gentle, comprehensive and heartfelt service. Our guide was Raoul- was perfect.

5.00When traveling in the tram, it was very peaceful and serene. We did not see any sloths in the trees going up or down in the tram. Once you reach the top, there is a tower there that you can walk up. It is a long walk so it helps to be somewhat physically fit.

5.00Wonderful experience from start to finish. My interactions with Monkey Adventures were very good. I had an outstanding tour guide in Ricardo. We stopped at the hotel to see the gorgeous river, then moved on to the aerial tram. After that splendid ride up to the top of the hill and the glorious views, we visited the sloths, butterflies, and tiny frogs. There is also a plant nursery with lovely orchids and other tropical plants. Ricardo is very knowledgeable and I learned a lot all along the way. We were lucky to see a sloth in the trees moving from one tree to the next. We saw a monkey, many birds, leaf cutter ants, a tortoise - amazing amount of joy packed into a half day tour. Highly recommended.

5.00We really enjoyed this tour. The aerial tram ride in the rainforest was so peaceful and beautiful. And the walk to the top of the observation tower gave you stunning views of the river and the canal. We also enjoyed seeing the sloths in the sanctuary and getting to do the butterfly house.Overall an enjoyable tour.
