Join us on a wonderful afternoon wine tour starting from Tours or Amboise, and discover the local wines of the Touraine region.
As a small group of up to 8 people, you'll visit two wine estates in the Touraine "appellation" area with your local expert guide.
We will take you through the vineyards and the wineries, providing insights into the 'terroir' and the art of winemaking. You'll have the chance to taste a large variety of sparkling, white, rosé and red wines from the region, made with many grape varieties (Chenin, Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet, Gamay,…), accompanied by cheeses and charcuterie specialties from the region (rillettes, rillons, …)
Throughout the transfers between locations, you'll have the opportunity to admire the beautiful Loire landscapes through the windows of our comfortable chauffeured Mercedes minivan.

What To Expect
Visit a vineyard in Touraine, learn about 'terroir', and enjoy a tasting of sparkling, red and white wines (at least 5 wines), paired with local charcuterie.
Visit a second vineyard in Touraine. Tour of the wine cellar and winery, tasting showcasing the diversity of wines from sparkling to still, dry to sweet (at least 6 wines) paired with local cheeses.

5.00Laurent was a fantastic guide, sharing his deep knowledge of the wines of the region. We visited a vineyard and learned about appellations and the specific terroir, picking and pruning methods of the plot. The first winery we visited was a small local winemaking family with a lovely range of wines. In contrast, our second tasting was at a cooperative where we tasted 5 different wines. Laurent was very generous in sharing information and special thanks for the delicious cheeses and saucisson he selected to accompany our tastings.

5.00Great way to spend an afternoon. Balance between being informative and entertaining is just about right. Two wineries are visited a small independent, producing wine in the traditional way and then a modern producer. Each time the information was interesting and the made the tasting more relevant. Group size is good and the vehicle very comfortable. Our guide, Pierre, was excellent. His depth of knowledge and ability to convey that knowledge were excellent. Pierre was also a convivial person with a good sense of humour. All in all a good way to spend an afternoon. I can recommend this trip.
