Discover the Royal Alcazar of Seville, declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. You will be amazed by its magnificience and magniture.
You will also recognize some spots, because of the shooting of the famous series “Game of Thrones”.
The origin of the Real Alcazar of Seville dates from the time of the High Middle Ages, although some areas of Islamic art that impress with its delicacy are preserved. In any case, Mudejar art and Gothic style predominate, but Renaissance and Baroque elements were added later.
Over the centuries, it has been the residence of the members of the Spanish Royal Family in Seville. Even today, it remains for the exclusive use of royalty, except for tourist visits.
This complex includes many wonderful features. The quaintest is the Patio de las Doncellas, with its ponds that reflect the intricate mudéjar plasterwork for which this palace is known for.

I would not book this tour through Viator. They sent us to the incorrect meeting point. At the second, and correct meeting point. We waited in a long, hot line to check in. Then our guide, Ishmael, was 30 minutes late. He seemed to be a pleasant man, however he spoke so rapidly we only understood about 5-10% of his guided talk. We were very disappointed as the Alcazar was stunning, but sadly we left with almost no information.

Our guide, Ivan, was excellent-knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. This tour is a great way to gain a sense of the multi layered history of a rich culture. The palace is beautiful and the gardens are amazing. I would have given the tour 5 stars for the guide but the tour company was less impressive. I originally made the tour for 3 pm as was offered on the website. I was contacted to say that the tour had to be at 5 pm not 3 pm. I was a bit concerned because we had another tour booked for 7:15 pm but was assured that this could work. Upon entering the Alcázar we were told that our tickets were not until 6 pm while the others on the tour had 5:30 pm entry. The giuide assured us he would wait ( which he did); however, we were now on a tighter schedule and others on the tour were delayed by this mix up.

This was a fantastic guided tour. Guide was Ismael. He was so passionate, extremely knowledgeable and very funny at the same time. He made everything so much more interesting. I listened to every single word he said, as he brought everything to life. Didn’t want the tour to end. He pointed out so many interesting and important things, that you would not see by yourself. Well done!!

Our tour guide, Iván, did an OUTSTANDING job in leading us through the beautiful Royal Alcazar in Sevilla. His organizational skills were excellent, his English was even better, and his enthusiasm for this site was infectious without being over-the-top. If you are fortunate enough to have Iván as your guide in Sevilla, you will not be disappointed - and you will want to return. We highly recommend Iván - he is the best!

Damiana was a very knowledgeable and professional tour guide. She knew a great deal about the palace, Sevilla history, was able to answer questions along the way. Our ear pieces worked and I could always hear her. The palace is a must see, the jump the line really important. This was my favorite tour, and best tour guide of the four tours I took in Sevilla.
