The origin of the Real Alcazar of Seville dates from the time of the High Middle Ages, although some areas of Islamic art that impress with its delicacy are preserved. In any case, Mudejar art and Gothic style predominate, but Renaissance and Baroque elements were added later.
Over the centuries, it has been the residence of the members of the Spanish Royal Family in Seville. Even today, it remains for the exclusive use of royalty, except for tourist visits.
This complex includes many wonderful features. The quaintest is the Patio de las Doncellas, with its ponds that reflect the intricate mudéjar plasterwork for which this palace is known for.

4.00Ivan - our guide, was excellent and so was Christina who walked us half a kilometre from the meeting point at the tour agent's to the start of the tour. Would have given 5* if the booking team was a bit more polite and less confusing. Enjoy the tour!

5.00We got an insight into the history of the whole palace. Everything was organised and the tour took around 2 hours. Our tour was at 11am and there was a bunch of people but it was manageable. Alvaro was our guide
