The origin of the Real Alcazar of Seville dates from the time of the High Middle Ages, although some areas of Islamic art that impress with its delicacy are preserved. In any case, Mudejar art and Gothic style predominate, but Renaissance and Baroque elements were added later.
Over the centuries, it has been the residence of the members of the Spanish Royal Family in Seville. Even today, it remains for the exclusive use of royalty, except for tourist visits.
This complex includes many wonderful features. The quaintest is the Patio de las Doncellas, with its ponds that reflect the intricate mudéjar plasterwork for which this palace is known for.

5.00This was a fantastic guided tour. Guide was Ismael. He was so passionate, extremely knowledgeable and very funny at the same time. He made everything so much more interesting. I listened to every single word he said, as he brought everything to life. Didn’t want the tour to end. He pointed out so many interesting and important things, that you would not see by yourself. Well done!!

5.00Damiana was a very knowledgeable and professional tour guide. She knew a great deal about the palace, Sevilla history, was able to answer questions along the way. Our ear pieces worked and I could always hear her. The palace is a must see, the jump the line really important. This was my favorite tour, and best tour guide of the four tours I took in Sevilla.
