Driving time 15 minutes At Akslafjellet we have a walk on the Kari path to experience a fairy tale view. The walk is 50 meters. This is the most beautiful place you can dream of, and we pass several German bunkers from World War II. There is a lot of history here. Experience the beautiful view over Ålesund from Aksla mountain, By the view square you will experience the beautiful city everyone is fascinated by. Here you can see 360 degrees around. The weather is changing and it is just as beautiful in all kinds of weather. Here is as much as the eyes can see, from the surrounding islands, boats passing by. And the mountains that still have snow on the peaks. The cute little lights in the houses when it gets dark. come memories of an adventure in reality, and the most beautiful sunsets we also see here the sun slowly sinks into the sea , everything turns orange. for an experience in reality. Alesund
Driving time 15 minutes Waldehuset was the only house in the eastern part of the town that did not burn down during the town fire on 23 January 1904. The entire town of Ålesund was on fire. Waldehuset was located in the middle of a large area with wooden houses, but was the only one that came unscathed from the flames. Come and hear the incredible story of the Miracle House in Aalesund

5.00I booked this for our family (children 13 and 10) somewhat last minute, since we originally considered touring Alesund on our own. We were NOT disappointed! The pickup spot is almost next to where we disembarked at port, and easy to find. The driver/owner/guide was there early and agreed to watch our things while we toured the city on our own for a short while. The bus was comfortable, was stocked with cold sodas and water, and the ride was smooth. Most importantly, the tour itself was excellent. We hit several stops in the 4/4.5 hours, including one place (the Viking Church, I think) that full-sized tour buses cannot visit due to their size. The driver had so much knowledge to share, including about the history of the city/country, the people, and the landmarks we visited. We had a good amount of time at each stop to explore on our own. It was a nice bonus to see the views from the mountaintop (Aksla Viewpoint) without the hike to get there. I felt like we got a great taste of the city, but weren’t overwhelmed or exhausted afterwards. Note: while the tour runs through lunch, there is a cafe at one of the sightseeing stops where one could purchase food. We didn’t (food allergies), but it’s a viable option. We had a wonderful time and wholeheartedly recommend the experience.

5.00Perfect small group cruise port excursion for us. We saw the highlights of Alesund from a very nicely outfitted sprinter van. Our guide/owner actually lives in Alesund. He was a wonderful guide and seemed to know how to stay one step ahead of or away from large bus tour groups so that our stops to see the sites were likely less crowded than what we might have experienced otherwise. Would highly recommend

5.00We had a fantastic day with Rolf as we visited some of the best sites around Aselund. He is a local owner/operator and is very knowledgeable about all of the Aselund area and history. If anyone in your group has mobility issues, the size of his mini-coach will allow you to get closer to your destinations than the large coaches. The small group sizes also allows you to visit more places than any comparable ship tours for less money. We highly recommend Royal Tours.

5.00Ralph was an excellent and informative guide. He's very proud of where he lives.. the van was beautiful. He provided water and soft drinks. The stops were excellent.. would have liked more time at the last stop and less time at the museum.

5.00It was a wonderful day and the weather was great. Our Guide was knowledgable about the history of Alesund and you could tell he was very proud of his city. There was ample time to sight see and beverages were also provided.
