Gates of Heaven at Pura Lempuyang (Pura Luhur Lempuyang Bali), is also called ‘The Temple of Thousand Steps’ is located at the summit of Belibis Hill (Mount Lempuyang), 1.058 meters above sea level, northeast of Mount Agung, Abang District, Karangasem Regency
It is not documented when Lempuyang Temple was exactly built. Legends say that when mother earth was only 70 years old, the island of Bali was unstable and earthquakes happened daily. The god Pacupati, who resides in Mount Sumeru saw this condition and asked his three children to stabilize Bali. We had a wonderful day in East Bali. Our tour guide, Ketut, was very professional, friendly and informative. He explained the Balinese culture as we went from one location to another. After we visited the Lempuyang Temple, we had a nice lunch lunch at a local restaurant where we enjoyed a beautiful view. I would definitely recommend this tour and guide!!

We are really pleased on how the trip went! Our driver Wah was really more than a simple driver he was a real guide, he could answer at every questions we asked him. And that enhanced a lot the quality of our tour. The timing of the tour was well planned also and we saw everything without any stress to be late at the next step ! We loved so much how Wah handle the day that we asked him to plan another private trip in Nusa Dua which was also very well planned ! We would do it again any time !

What a great tour it was! Really well organized and executed. Not only we were able to visit three of the most visited places in Bali, we also enjoyed some of the breathtaking views of rural Bali. Our driver Leo was extremely polite an very patient. I have learnt a lot from him about Balinese culture, he was accompanying us everywhere we went.
