Small Group Tour: 1: This tour is set to leave at 7:30 a.m. on the tour day, though the exact time depends on the actual pick-up schedule. 2: The sequence of pick-ups will be decided according to the number of guests and the distribution of their hotels on the tour day, and will be confirmed the day before departure. 3: To make sure you get the correct details about your pick-up time and location, please be sure to check the email we sent you one day prior to departure. If you don’t receive the email or have any inquiries, we suggest reaching out to us immediately to verify the information and prevent missing the tour. 4: Please arrive at your designated pick-up spot on time as per the confirmed schedule. For guests who are late by more than 10 minutes, we won’t be able to wait, and these guests will be recorded as "No Show".

5.00Our tour guide Padma was amazing and we had a great time seeing the Great Wall and Summer Palace! On the drive over to the Great Wall, there were beautiful sights of more rural areas outside of Beijing. We did a private tour with four people and she was very accommodating and tailored the trip to the experience we wanted. For example, we wanted to go to a specific part of Summer Palace that wasn’t in the planned route, and she changed the plan so that we could go there as well as see all the important sights. She gave us many different options for routes to take, depending on how adventurous or tired we were, and was super concise with all her descriptions. Her knowledge of Chinese history was also great and complimented the beautiful sights we saw perfectly.

5.00I'm waI realize I am long overdue for a review. My husband and I truly had an outstanding experience. The driver and tour guide showed genuine knowledge and warmth. The driver handled the vehicle skillfully, almost like a Formula One driver, while the tour guide was exceptionally accommodating. We gained a lot of meaningful history. They both went out of their way to take us where we wanted to go after our tour. I sincerely recommend this tour guide.

5.00normally don’t take the time to write reviews unless the experience is truly great to exceptional, and Discover Beijing Tour was absolutely exceptional. I was picked up from my hotel exactly at the confirmed time from the day before. Although we booked a group tour, we were pleasantly surprised to be placed on a private VIP tour with just the two of us. Our tour guide, Mina, was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable about both the Summer Palace and the Great Wall, and we learned so much throughout the trip. She also went above and beyond by taking us to jade and tea shops after we mentioned we were interested in visiting them. I would strongly recommend this tour, and if possible, ask for Mina as your guide. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

5.00Sherry and Xia were an excellent team for this day trip. The time was equally divided and we were blessed with excellent weather. Sherry was informative of the history of the sites and explaining her culture which she is passionate about. The lunch is a tourist buffet style and we didn’t eat as we had had a large breakfast. A local restaurant lunch may be superior for small group tours as there were very large bus groups which detracted from the atmosphere a bit.

5.00Oh man, we were SO glad to have done this tour. Doing a private tour is WAYYYY better than going on your own. Our amazing guide, Lucy, met us at our hotel with the driver right on schedule. The weather was a little foggy, so she switched up our itinerary so we could go to the Summer Palace and wait for the fog to clear before we went to the Great Wall. By the time we left, the weather was perfect and we were able to make it to the wall. She got us around the long security lines, and gave us guidance on how to go up via cablecar, walk down the wall to the chairlift/toboggan station to avoid the crowds. The walk was incredible, the crowds were manageable, and it was mostly downhill over uphill. She gave us so much information and history about The Wall as we went, and took SO many photos for us. After we got down (we were up there for a couple hours), she and our driver took us to a nice local buffet, before driving us back to Beijing. She also offered to buy tickets for an acrobatics show at a discounted price through the agency. So we did, and she even took us through the Business District to kill time before the show and show us some scenic spots, AND she and the driver waited for us after the show to pick us up. No stress, all fun, and super helpful and convenient. It was the best day we could’ve possibly had, and it’s all thanks to Lucy!!!
