Join our exclusive Oktoberfest tour with a small group for a truly unforgettable experience of Bavarian culture!
Our tour has a max of 8 customers and includes:
-a guide clad in traditional clothing (Lederhosen or Dirndl),
-a Bavarian Weisswurst Frühstuck (Traditional Breakfast) at a local beer hall or other breakfast option
-short downtown beer history tour in Munich after breakfast
-public transport tickets
-private guided brewery tour for 40 minutes with homemade Oktoberfest beer
-history and traditions of the Oktoberfest
-Oktoberfest table reservations from 12pm for at least 4 hours,
-Traditional Brotzeitteller (meats, cheese and bread snack platter)
-3 Mass beer (Liters!)

-guided etiquette to ordering beer, food, festival rides and attractions, and beer drinking songs

What To Expect
Our guide will meet you on Munich's historic Marienplatz square at 9am for history and a short walk to a local beer hall for a traditional breakfast.
We will take you on public transit just 2 stops to a local brewery from 1889. Here you receive a private brewery tour with homemade Oktoberfest beer fresh on tap.
What‘s Included
Up to 3 liters of beer (other option upon request) is included on this tour
Traditional Bavarian breakfast with veal sausages, pretzel and wheat beer included! Other options are available.
Large appetizer platter, huge varied lunch platter and dessert included at your Oktoberfest reservation!

5.00A friend connected us to John when we were heading to Oktoberfest. John turned out to be the ultimate hook up! We were able to get connected with a super fun group at a table reservation in a couple of the premier tents. Could not have gone better!

5.00Levi is absolutely amazing!🍺🍺 Our group was initially scheduled for 2020 but COVID shut Europe down. Levi honored our initial deposit in total (unlike Lufthansa). He organized our trip to include the places we wanted to visit and added others that were fantastic. If you like German and Czech beer, the Thirsty Historian is your guide. Prosit to a fellow Badger🍺

5.00Sabri was sensational. We loved our day with a group of ten. We were so happy to meet Jonathan, Gina, Gayle, Doug, Jeff and the rest of the group. We had so much much fun. We went to a few breweries and had some beer of course. The we went to the large tent in the park where Oktoberfest takes place. It was very tight but what a great experience. We sang, drank, ate, drank, sang and drank for several hours. Sabri was such a good tour guide and really made our day exceptional and a day we will never forget.

5.00The Thirsty Historians all inclusive Octoberfest tour was awesome! The drinks were amazing, the food was better, and the knowledge and shared experiences throughout Munich were even better! A brewery opened specifically for us on the tour so we could see their brewery and how it worked! Then the beer tent and food at the end honestly felt like an added bonus, not part of the tour. I couldn't recommend this any more and if do Octoberfest again, I will be a repeat customer!

5.00If you are reading the reviews to find out if this activity is worth it, the answer is 100%….YES!!! Every minute, every penny was absolutely worth it. We went on a whim, as we had last minute schedule clearing on our business trip. Looking back at the day we spent with our guides, we were very lucky to have been able to book this tour last minute. Can’t believe it wasn’t sold out. Especially since they like to keep the groups small and cozy. I don’t want to go on to long with this review so here’s what I can say: Book the tour. Book it early. Go with friends. Dress in Bavarian clothing ( we didn’t, big mistake) You will have the best Oktoberfest experience. You will meet a guide in the morning and leave a friend at the end of the day. Thanks Sabri, you are the greatest. Prost!

5.00We went on a study abroad trip and Levi, Sierra, and the Thirsty Historian group was amazing. They lead us through a week and a half of Germany and Italy showing us the different beers and wines of the region. They also helped us dive tight into the culture and help us better understand the history and people we were encountering. They had everything scheduled and planned out perfected for us and never missed a beat. They are such great people and they will never fail to show you a good time. We toured multiple breweries and wineries and were able to speak with some of the owners of the facilities. It was overall an amazing trip and I wouldn't have been the same without them.
