Kolsai Lake

Lake Kaindy

Next, we visit Lake Kaindy, famous for its flooded forest. Tree trunks rise from the water, creating a unique view.

From parking to the lake:

UAZ jeep — 2000 tenge round trip

Horse — 8000 tenge extra

Walking — free, 15 minutes

Free time — 1 hour.

Charyn Canyon

Almaty Region — 1 hour

Final stop is Charyn Canyon. Walk through the Valley of Castles, explore red rock formations, and enjoy panoramic views.

What To Expect

Kolsai Lake

At 6:00 AM, you should meet at the designated spot in the city center. The day before the tour, we’ll send you the exact meeting location and the organizer’s contact number. Then we’ll head to Kolsai Lake. The drive takes about 4 hours (around 300 km). Along the way, you’ll see steppe landscapes, mountains, and authentic village life. We’ll spend a couple of hours at the lake, enjoying the views and capturing amazing photos. Our guide speaks English and will tell you all about this stunning lake.

Lake Kaindy

Next, we’ll head to Lake Kaindy (about a 15-minute bus ride). From the parking area, it’s an easy 15-minute walk to the lake. If you don’t want to walk, you can take an option to reach Lake Kaindy in a UAZ (Bukhanka) — it costs 2,000 tenge. We’ll spend about an hour at this stunning spot, taking photos of the beautiful scenery and enjoying the breathtaking views.
