I’m sure this experience could have been so much better with a different guide and better weather but it was really rough for us. Our tour guide was very sweet and spoke English but she couldn’t understand the farmers language and so was unable to translate anything they said to us. While the cheese making process was interesting it was very drawn out and we couldn’t understand anything being said so it was very frustrating. It was raining during our drive out to the farm and we weren’t told we would need to hike/walk through the woods to the farm. We would have cancelled or brought appropriate jackets/shoes. We had hiking shoes but were completely soaked through our shoes, socks and clothing by the time we got to the farm and then were asked to stay outside in 45 degree weather (soaked) for a large portion of the tour. The food was nice and the view was beautiful but it was definitely not worth the extreme cost of this experience

This alpine adventure was phenomenal. Sondra was an excellent guide and shared such interesting information about swiss life and cheese making. You start the tour with a twenty minute van ride. Then there is a 20-30min hike down to the farm. The hike can be difficult and requires sturdy shoes and walking sticks. It was slippery the day we were there so hiking shoes were helpful. The pace is slow, but be prepared for a steep climb. On the way back to the van it is an uphill hike. There is an option to get a ride from the farmer on the way back for 10 francs per person. Our time at the farmer was amazing. You see cheese making up close and you are served an exceptional farmers breakfast of cheese, bread, rosti with an egg. After breakfast you can visit the cows and pigs. There is also the opportunity to buy farm made products like cheese and honey. We absolutely loved the experience. Highly recommend!!

Communication was easy and our tour guide was personable! It was fun to learn and be a part of the cheese making process from an authentic dairy farm. The hosts were welcoming and the cheese was delicious! Definitely would recommend!

Super unique experience in the alps. We met the guide in Interlaken, drove up the mountain, did a 20 minute hike, and met the farmers for breakfast and a great experience.

What a great opportunity to engage with a Swiss family who work hard day in and day out to make delicious cheese and host guests at their farm in the Alps! We enjoyed the beautiful hike (wear good hiking shoes or boots for this) into the property then invited to a delicious breakfast of cheeses from this farm, breads, jams, fried potatoes and eggs. Our guide, Sandra, explained the cheese making process as Roli and Bernadette demonstrated and then invited us to be a part of the activities in their cheese making kitchen. We met the cows and pigs on the farm and enjoyed a wonderful view of the mountains. If back in Switzerland someday, we would do this again!

This was definitely a highlight of our European trip! Sandra, our tour guide, was so sweet, kind, and knowledgeable. She was able to answer so many questions about the Swiss culture. We took a van up into the mountain and had a beautiful 15 minute hike to this cute little farm. We were then presented with a delicious breakfast and samples of all their cheeses. While the cheesemaking workshop was getting prepared, we got to see the cows, pigs, and cheese storage. The two owners were very kind and welcoming. Getting hands on with the cheese was the best part! This awesome workshop allows you to grasp the hard working lifestyle of the Swiss cheesemakers. It helped us escape the tourist areas and let us have a different perspective of the culture and lifestyle. We highly recommend this workshop to anybody coming into Interlaken or the surrounding area. You don’t want to miss out on this!

We recently did the Cheese Farm Tour and it was absolutely amazing and a highlight of our trip. We already plan on doing it again the next time we come back. We were driven part of the way and then hiked the rest. When we arrived we were given the most delicious, fresh breakfast. We got to assist with the cheese making process, meet the cows, and just enjoy the absolute peace and beauty of the farm. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend this tour!
