So this is the first time I've been back to the park since 2021. The park itself was so quiet, the longest wait time I saw was 20 minutes which was for Rita. I struggled on most of the rides last time, however going this time was better. For reference, I'm 5'7, size 22/24 and carry most of my weight in my chest and tummy area. I mentioned to staff that I needed a seat with double seat belts on Nemesis and they were lovely and I never managed it last time. However, it was very annoying that Obvlivion closed due to the slightest bit of wind. And thirteen ended up closing too. I still enjoy the park, but definitely want to shave a few inches off for next time haha.

Not overly Impressed really - Firstly paying for the privilege of parking in the middle of nowhere when there is no other way of getting there is outrageous. The 15 minute walk from the car park being herded like cattle did not soften the blow, neither did having noone check you had paid for parking when leaving either. Secondly only finding out when there that rides were permently out of use was not good! No runaway train, No water Rapids! No pirate Boat ride on the Lake, plus other rides being shut as the day went on. These are ridwes that my youngest wanted rather than the big nemesis etc or the small CBeebies land rides. Went for a walk around the tower (which according to the map was open).... Apprently it wasn't. Thirdly the severely over priced poor quality food on offer really showed that Alton Towers is trying to be something its not! £3 for a half cup of coke with ice! Burnt sausage & chips! Nachos with watery cheese sauce! Fourthly Miserable Grumpy staff everywhere! If you dont want to work, let someone else have a job! Queues times were what as they are - 1 hr plus for 30secs ride! Not impressed at all - (kids were a bit underwhelmed) All in all - should have gone to Drayton Manor!

We booked our stay and park day with the Merlin offer, I paid extra for a themed moon room at Alton towers hotel, at first appearance the room looked fun and interesting but then began to see how tired it was in areas, dust behind doors, light switches broken. Even though it’s a family room once a supplied travel cot is put up it leaves very little room! But the main thing is THE BEDS ARE HORRENDOUSLY UNCOMFORTABLE!! All 4 of us had a bad night sleep due to the bad quality of the mattresses! When kids even after a full on day at the park and exhausted still struggle to sleep as the beds are too hard it’s saying something! Mentioned at the front desk and didn’t seem bothered or surprised at all! Nearly £350 for one night and little needed sleep! Extremely disappointed! Could have stayed at budget £50 hotel and had better! We did want to keep rebooking with our Merlin pass to enjoy treat weekends away and into the park but definitely rethinking it now.. The park it’s self we mainly visited for Ceebeeies land which in parts is great, new bluey ride, sensory room, Jo Jo and gram gram. But it has to be said the night garden ride is in massive need of a revamp!! No music or story telling, figures broken, dirty, weeds, faded paint! Shame as there’s only a couple of rides that we can go on all together with our 8 month old! Gangster granny ride and around that area was great and very quiet as abit of a walk out but worth it for families! Secret garden restaurant was nice, but pricey, breakfast at flambo jambo was great and upbeat for families, good energy, sit near water for fun viewing, great selection of foods. Bar and grill near food trucks seemed a good choice to sit and eat from all the walking but food was average and pricey for standard stuff but if with a family and with pushchair there’s very little space! It was very awkward to get seated and be out of the way of other diners, we didn’t relax at all. Alton towers are trying very had to implement more since I last visited after lockdown and can see how they are trying but not anywhere near Disneyland Paris standard but they prices for 1-2 days isn’t far off without Merlin passes! Hoping to get a reply from Alton towers hotel.

Just back from a 2 day trip! Longest queue times were 20 mins, most rides were 5 mins (walk on). Rides run smoothly, staff all friendly and helpful. Hotel was great, food and services fantastic. Only down side to the trip was having to walk everywhere with no skyline operating but luckily didn’t have the kids so wasn’t an issue! Couple of the rides down for maintenance but overall rides operated. See you in August :)

Our last visit was in 2023 when Nemesis was closed for refurbishment. We had a great time then but we were really disappointed with our recent visit. Our group consisted of 3 adults and 2 children, aged 5 and under. We had travelled nearly 4 hours to be there, staying overnight in Stoke and were really excited for the day ahead. Tickets were pre-booked, £39 each, and we also opted for Express parking at £30. Staff at the gate were very helpful getting us through easily with a buggy. We also found them very helpful with getting a parent share pass. What was disappointing, was not all the rides were open at the start of the day. This led to long queues of 70+ mins as everyone seemed to be queuing for the same one. Once another opened the masses headed to that, creating another long wait. It wasn't restricted to the thrill rides, there were also long wait times in CBeebies Land. No monorail, Skyride, Rapids or Bluey. The adults managed three thrill rides each, only being able to use the parent share once, the children also three. There are options to purchase fast track before hand but paying an additional £55 to £125 per ticket is beyond our budget. The last time we went we opted to buy a single ride fast track for £10 per person, this is now a whopping £20 per person. Again this is beyond our budget. Queue jumping was a problem on Rita. A very large party pushed through before we knew what had happened. Others then tried to push past, but jumped over the fences. Some made their way back down the line only to push back with other group members. QR codes are available to report antisocial behaviour, but it took too long to be effective! I understand that running costs and overheads are high, but it seems like the haves get it all over the ordinary family. So disappointed that this was the little one s first visit.

We just came home.e yesterday after an overnight at Alton Towers. We arrived and directed to the carpark close to the theme park with my disability. My daughter inlaw and granddaughter had a great time at the park I loved sitting and watching them on the rides and just watching the world go by . The facilities were great in the park it did get a bit busy but didn't wait anymore than an hour on rides the Atmosphere was amazing and weather was excellent so that was a bonus .
