Salerno
Once a collection of fishing villages, Italy's magnificent Amalfi Coast is now a world-class tourist destination. But as is often the case, with great beauty come great problems. Too many vehicles, crippling traffic, too few parking areas, and hairpin curves that make two-way traffic unbearable, are just a few of the challenges faced by Italy's Amalfi Coast in recent years.
Positano
In an intimate group, your local expert will lead the way from the train to the ferryboat. Once seated, enjoy a one-hour cruise from Salerno to Positano the UNESCO World Heritage site of once-fishing villages-turned stomping ground for the world's elite. You'll step back onto terra ferma to explore Positano, the jewel of the Amalfi Coast. Choose whether to have a morning swim or explore the dozens of chic boutiques and artisan shops, then enjoy a leisurely lunch before returning to the pier for a short ride to our next destination, the town of Amalfi. It’s no wonder why this stunning coastline takes its name from Amalfi. This bustling town is where the action is, packed with shops, beaches, restaurants, and picture-perfect photo ops. Your guide will provide you with a short orientation stroll including an overview of the 11th-century cathedral and a limoncello tasting at one of the local shops, after which you can enjoy some free time shopping and exploring or hit the beach.

The sea can be a little choppy but the views are great. Mauro was the BEST tour guide ever!!! Positano and Amalfi are both worth a visit. St Andrew the apostle is buried in the cathedral.

What let us down was out of the control or the organisers but I think occurs often. Firstly people were late. Obviously can’t read instructions. Then the train was 45 min late leaving. Unreliable. That meant we missed the ferry and our tour was shortened. When the ferry was 10 min from Positano the whole return ferry service was cancelled and we had to board the last return ferry to Amalfi and saw Positano for 15 minutes. All up we spent 3 hrs in Amalfi and hour in total in other towns and the rest of the 13hrs was on trains and ferries. I wouldn’t waste my money on this trip. It was very overpriced for what it is. The guides were lovely therefore the 4 stars and Amalfi was lovely too. I was so excited about this trip but it let us down badly.

Day started a bit crazy finding our guide at the train station but from then on was smooth sailing and we had a great time. The train ride was pretty quick, and was noneventful. The boat ride along the Amalfi Coast was amazing! Our guide provided highlights of points of interest along the way. Time allocated to each stop was ample and the sunset view on our boat ride back to the train station was spectacular.

The tour was great, but unfortunately the weather was terrible. It rained the entire time and the water was very rough on the ferry ride. Our tour guide did an excellent job despite the bad weather, however. He was very entretaining, and did a fantastic job of making the most of our day. If you can do this for during sunny weather, it's an absolute must-do.

Our guide, Marco was we must run to catch the ferry. I was last because of me not wearing tennis shoes, Dummy on my part. Our guide made sure everyone knew the history of our journey. He made sure we had everyone to board. Our train was cancelled. Our guide solved the problem all alone. We waited 2 hours. The office staff was not available for him. That is awful they leave a guide with 15 people stranded because it doesn't fit their hours of operations. Really disappointed in the company but our guide did all the work on his cell phone and he paid out of his pocket for our newest fare.

Great day in-spite of the weather! Beautiful to see the coast line and visit the towns. More stores than sights to see

A DEFINITE YES…….Our Guide, picture in the photo, was fabulous. He did not miss a beat. Attentive to all. There were about 18 people in our group. He would pop up out of no where and was right beside us at all times. He was clear in his directions and was fun as well. Great sense of humor. Very informative. The tour itself was well organized from the time we met at the train station in Rome in the A.M. Until we arrived back to the train station in Rome at11. P.m. Our train was delayed about 1 1/2 hrs. coming back to Rome and our guide stayed with us the length of delay even though he was supposed to be off an hour and a half beforehand. The weather was beautiful, food was definitely not a disappointment. Shopping you could get carried away very easily and the people of the coast couldn’t have been any more cordial. Best tour and tour guide. the only down side was that being such a large tour we couldn’t hear everything at the beginning then I realized our guide was going to the individual groups and explaining and answering everyone’s questions. So instead of headsets which i thought we should have had i realized the individual attention we got was so very unique.

Excellent day with Georgia as our guide. The coast is stunning and she was mindful that she explained things to everyone while we were all separated on the boat. The winds changed our timeline a bit but it all worked out well.
