In the morning about 8:30 a.m. you will get picked up from your hotel. Our guide will welcome you right at the lobby. Your first spot is the Dragon Cave Temple, an impressive limestone cave that features local herbal medicine (to lower blood cholesterol) made by the residential monks. Over countless steps you go up into a mountain while passing different statues of Buddha. The Indian influence of Hinduism is visible and the statue of the healer Aslath could be visited. The second temple is a combination of three different temple styles – Thai, Chinese and Jedi – and is called Bang Rieng Pagoda Temple. It is a beautiful hilltop temple that features a huge seated golden Buddha image and amazing Thai temple architecture. After receiving of few insight into the Buddhism, you enjoy a delicious thai lunch with a fantastic view over the famous limestone rocks of Phang Nga and mangrove forest. Last but not least you spend time at the Manisii Maha Tat Temple that is unmissable with a huge black statue of the monk Por Than Klai and a beautiful main temple building. Por Than Klai is one of the most famous monks of his generation (1876-1970), because whatever he predicted turned out to be true.

We had already booked the tour through Khaolak-Adventures.de in Germany. At the hotel in Khao Lak we were picked up on time. As a guide we had Anton?, he called himself the Flying Dutchman as he ran from shadow to shadow. He was able to give us very good insights into Buddhism, as he himself lived as a monk for 12 years. This tour was completely successful. Whether it was about the history of temples, Buddhism or the life of Thais, he could tell us a lot and entertainingly about it. The food was also very good.

We did the 3-temple tour with Volker and were absolutely thrilled. Volker was mega entertaining and at the same time very informative – he was just incredibly happy to be listened to. The tour was super planned, there were always chilled drinks and refreshing towels, and we felt in good hands at all times. It was an excursion that we not only enjoyed a lot, but also had the opportunity to learn a lot about the country, people and culture. Thank you for this great experience! My wife and I did this tour yesterday and enjoyed it quite a bit. Gift and Mr. Boa were great as guide and driver. The lunch was also quite good. My only small complaint was we were 12 people in a van that sits 12 people, so it felt quite cramped in there, especially since there was a fair amount of driving required to hit all 3 temples…

We had the best day with our guide Gift & our driver Mr Benz. Gift was very knowledgeable and you could tell she enjoyed her job and wanted us to have a great experience. She passed on her own life experience with Buddhism and the Thai culture. A tour is always better with a great guide who has a story to share. The temples were magnificent, and we got to see Monks too! Lots of stairs on the first one, probably wouldn’t recommend it if you’re not physically fit. Thank you for a wonderful day ❤️

Beautiful discovery of 3 really different temples. The first temple built in caves is really impressive. Take your courage to climb the 245 steps and you will discover an incredible place. The other 2 are really beautiful and very interesting to discover through their stories. Must-see visit in my opinion.

A full day with lots of wonderful sights and sites! Superb place for lunch with breathtaking views. My guide ‘Gift’ was exactly that - gave lots of information and stories. The driver was 10/10 too! Lots of curvy and hilly mountainous roads, but he knew them like the back of his hand. My favourite bit was actually the waxworks - a very pleasant surprise that puts Madame T’s place to shame. Astounding! Would definitely recommend. However -if you are not good at climbing narrow steps, and over 300 of them, it’s probably not the trip for you. Equally if you’re not into temples and learning about Buddhism - this isn’t the trip for you too! If you’re scared of bats - there are plenty at the first temple.
