When in Amsterdam, you must take a canal tour with Amsterdam Canal Tour by Open Boat and Captain Guus! We spent a lovely afternoon touring Amsterdam’s 400-year-old canal system as Captain Guus guided us carefully around the maze of waterways. Guus explained the medieval origins of the canal system, changes made to accommodate trade and commerce during the Dutch Golden Age and finally the complex engineering that makes the whole system function. It was a cool spring afternoon in Amsterdam, and I was somewhat concerned about staying warm but heated seats and thick blankets made the 90-minute tour comfortable as we glided along the canals. If you like history, or simply like messing about in boats, Amsterdam Canal Tour by Open Boat is the canal tour for you!!

Atila gave us the most peaceful informative canal cruise in a very comfy boat with heated seats, blankets, drinks - so lovely to visit some of the smaller canals. He clearly loves his job and Amsterdam and is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this trip. Big thank you Atila.

Captain Julia was well informed and entertaining. This small boat was able to go to more canals than the larger boats. Great experience

Capt. Attila did not disappoint! I actually booked the tour right outside the boat and there was 1 spot left for me. (I would recommend better signage for the boat tour as I almost left thinking I had the wrong spot since there wasn't a sign.) This is my fourth Amsterdam Canal tour and each one was different... but I loved this one, particularly due to Attila! He was warm, engaging, charming, informative, & humorous. He had such great stories, excellent information about the city, buildings, and history of Amsterdam. This tour and Attila made me fall in love with Amsterdam even more! Thanks, Attila! We enjoyed every bit of this boat tour; Jamie was great. Lots of knowledge without the cheesy jokes!. The boat is small, which allows for a nice personal experience. Overall something I highly recommend!!!

It has been a beautiful experience, we have made Sunday morning when the city is just waking up and it has been very comfortable as there were not so many people and we could admire everything in clamor and tranquility, you felt the noise of the water advancing, all very cute, and Jo super nice and attentive.I think it is something you have to do in this context, small boat and few people, the impeccable boat.
