This is a seasonal tour which we only run in springtime, during March, April and the first weeks of May.
On this tour you'll experience the best Holland has to offer in spring: tulips, windmills and countryside. Join us on our wonderful tulip tour through the famous flower fields of Holland near Lisse and the Keukenhof.
We drive with a small van, so we can take you to the best viewpoints and places where the big tour busses can't come. The flower fields around Lisse and Hillegom bloom depending weather circumstances like temperature, rain and sunshine.
Of course we also visit the Keukenhof, the biggest flower garden in the world.
After this amazing flower experience we drive to the windmills of the Zaanse Schans. This is the best place in Holland to see old windmills.
On our way back to Amsterdam we stop at cheese farm Simonehoeve to taste cheese.
We’re flexible so we can adjust the tour to your wishes and lunch is not included but you can decide when and where you want to eat.

We had a great day with Philip! The tulips were absolutely better than expected and he helped us navigate the park and avoid some of the crowds a bit. We loved seeing the working windmills as well and the cheese and shoemaking was a fun stop as well!

Friendly, knowledgeable and flexible driver/guide. We were able to see all the major sites around Amsterdam on this one tour. It was pricey but we were able to move quickly and see a lot.

Our guide Phillip picked us up at our hotel - very convenient. He immediately drove us to the Tulip Garden (don’t forget order you entry tickets online for early morning access - I forgot, but he reminded me when I got into the vehicle) - thanks Phillip! I don’t think we could have asked for a better guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the garden, the history of the Tulip and more. He was adept at avoiding the crowded areas and kept us in a good path throughout. We then went to a farm and saw how cheese is made and how the traditional “klompen” wooden shoes are made. We purchased a few items and then he drove us to a very quaint town, where we had a nice lunch. We enjoyed his company very much and asked him to have lunch with us. He then provided more in depth history of his country. Lastly, we went to the windmills. He has extraordinary knowledge with this subject and again provided great history and little known facts to the common tourist. He seems to know everyone at every place we went, and is well liked by them. At one of the windmills we visited we purchased a fantastic cologne made on-site by some of spices milled there. The tour was more than expected and I highly encourage the private tour and to ask for Phillip. I’m so glad we did not go the large group bus tours route - this is so much better. It is worth the extra cost. Thank Phillip!

Me and my nine-year old daughter had a wonderful day out with Phillip. The itinerary was flexible, he thought a lot about what she’d enjoy, we went to Keukenhof, an animal farm, a clog and cheese place, visited a couple of old towns and walked around d the windmills. Phillip seems to know everyone and it made the experiences very special. We both loved it. Thank you!

Teun was outstanding and the day-long private tour really made our stay in Amsterdam special! He clearly loves his city and his country and was very proud to share the history, geography, culture and customs with us. Starting with the Tulips and other beautiful flowers at Keukenhof, where he guided us to start then allowed us time on our own to explore - then off to the beach at Nederstrandt (on the North Sea!) - followed by a delightful local lunch in a small town cafe - then to visit and explore the history and inner workings of the Windmills. Finally a stop at a cheese factory where we sampled many delicious and unique types of cheese and learned the entire cheese making process! Then we saw how they hand made the “Clogs” (wooden shoes) and also how they now use lathes to make them! All in all this is a must-do if you really want to fully experience the wonder of Amsterdam and its environs!

From the very first moment Teun arrived promptly, in a spotless Mercedes SUV, we knew we were in for something special. What unfolded over the course of the day far exceeded even our highest expectations. Teun was the perfect host: warm, professional, and genuinely invested in making our experience exceptional. He anticipated every need, answered every question with depth and enthusiasm, and created an atmosphere that felt both relaxed and richly informative. His knowledge of Dutch culture, language, and political systems added a fascinating layer to the day that we never would have experienced on our own. The tour itself was nothing short of magical. Walking through the vibrant tulip fields felt like stepping into a painting, and Teun ensured we experienced them from the most breathtaking vantage points. He went above and beyond, adding thoughtful touches like a peaceful walk along the beach and guiding us through charming neighborhoods and iconic windmill landscapes that captured the true essence of the Netherlands. What sets this experience apart is the abundance of “extras” those unexpected moments and insights that transform a good tour into an unforgettable one. This was not just sightseeing; it was a deeply curated, immersive day. Without question, this was the most special and treasured day of our time in the Netherlands. If you are considering a tour, do not look any further, this is the one. Teun and his company deserve the very highest praise.

Highly recommend this tour and our guide, Tuin, was terrific! If anything, the tour is better than described. We were able to see the tulip garden and the windmills, but also small towns in the vicinity of Amsterdam. Tuin answered all of our questions and provided a lot of context for historical and present day Holland. I would highly recommend this tour for a full immersion to the area! MK

We had a wonderful day with Philip! Keukenhof was our major focus, along with the windmills and a cheese factory. He is a great guy with an incredible knowledge of everything we saw. He also took us to some very charming non-touristy towns, and a small pub for a delicious light lunch, which was exactly what we were looking for. He was a great listener and customized everything perfectly for the day. If we had more time, we would have requested him for several other tours. It was an extremely enjoyable day, and we would not hesitate to reserve another with him!
