Very crowded on Fridays and Saturdays. definitely not a place for small children and babies in strollers

The walking tour was a good idea, but our guide Arnee was not the greatest. Our guide was very knowledgeable. However, he talked a lot about his personal experiences instead of the history. We didn’t even learn about the coffee shop history as we were only able to cover the basics of the Anne Frank. He was very friendly and I did learn new facts but the low rating is due to the guide being very disorganized and the tour not having a true flow.

There were only 4 people in our group and this seemed to free us up to blend in with the hoards of visitors. Robin shared lots and lots of stories, traditions and facts in a fun and informative manner (not sure why he doesn’t recommend Argentinian restaurants…) We had a great time and I was surprised when then the 2-hour tour was over and that the our time together had passed so quickly. I’d recommend starting the tour as late as possible to enjoy the evening lighting.

Really glad I did this tour. It gave a completely different perspective on the Red Light District than I would’ve had just walking through on my own. The group was small, which made it easier to ask questions and keep things relaxed. Overall a really worthwhile experience if you want to understand this part of Amsterdam better.

I feel like the name of this tour is misleading. It definitely wasn’t a coffee shop tour. We went to 1 coffee shop and that was the meeting location. The first hour covered history which I didn’t like because I didn’t sign up for a history tour. We spent 15 minutes walking through the red light district and then the tour was over. I would only recommend this tour if you’re interested in history.

Ben was an excellent guide and very entertaining and knowledgeable of the stories behind the neon. Biggest surprise was no pictures in the Red Light District. Didn’t know that.

This was interesting and entertaining. The guide was young but very knowledgeable and entertaining. The sex museum wasn't worth it, but the tour was great.
