What To Expect
Amsterdam Canal Ring
First we’ll visit the old quarter of the Jordaan. See highlights like the Westertoren and the Anne Frank house, taste the original Amsterdam ‘bitterballen’. We’ll navigate via the river Amstel to the Red Light District. See the fabulous storehouses en then visit the hidden side of the city. Cruise past the National Maritime Museum and admire the East Indiaman ship dating from the Golden Age and enjoy the exotic Hortus Botanicus.

5.00Fabulous cruise to see the city by boat. Covered and comfortable with an amazing guide. We learned so much history on the tour and my two young boys had room to move on the boat and plenty of snacks.

5.00Great tour of Amsterdam! We took a late afternoon tour in early October and the weather and tempurture were wonderful. The boat was great and the tour guide was very well versed in the sites, history and lore surrounding Amsterdam. This was a great way to see the site of the town in a quick tour without having to walk or ride to all of the sites. The boat provided some food and drinks which was also great. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

5.00Such a great experience with Captain Erik! We learned a lot about Amsterdam and it was so beautiful. He made us feel so welcome and provided plenty of refreshments and snacks. Highly recommend! I would definitely do it again if I were to visit again!

5.00We had a wonderful cruise along the canals of beautiful Amsterdam. Captain Storm was spectacular. He shared some interesting pieces of Amsterdam’s history but also great tidbits of local information. We had a great selection of snacks and drinks. The freshly made bitterballen was a treat. It was raining and chilly but we were comfortable inside with some heat and blankets to keep us warm. Nothing but praise for this tour. We would do it over and over.

5.00Amsterdam at night! This was a fantastic tour, led by an expert guide who has spent their entire life in Amsterdam and has deep connections to its history. Our evening tour departed at 7pm in October, so dusk was already approaching. We were welcomed by Captain Erik, and for the next two hours we were mesmerized by his knowledge of architecture, history of Amsterdam and its people. He has personal connections to the people of Amsterdam persecuted during World War II, and brought those stories to make the neighborhoods we were seeing real. The cheese, snacks, bitterballen, wines, beer, and jenever were plentiful, as we floated through history. Highly recommend a night tour as the lighting of the canals really pop and make photos and memories a work of art. Captain Erik was fantastic and highly recommended.

5.00Great evening canal cruise. Highly recommend for a different perspective on the canals. Smaller group size/ship is definitely the way to go. Although we only had 10 on our tour, ship can easily & comfortably fit the max group size of 14. Captain Stephan was great, providing history and entertaining insights along the way. This was my favorite activity of our trip.
