Discover one of the Netherlands’ most iconic art forms: Delft Blue ceramics. During this 90-minute interactive workshop in the heart of Amsterdam, you’ll sit down with brushes, paint, and a blank ceramic tile. Your instructor will explain the story of Delftware and show you easy techniques to paint classic blue-and-white patterns or create your own design. Whether you choose traditional tulips, windmills, or something completely original, you’ll take home a lasting memory of your visit. The experience is designed for everyone: couples, families, friends, or even solo travelers. No prior art skills are required — just bring your creativity. At the end of the workshop, your tile is yours to keep, making it a perfect handmade souvenir from Amsterdam. Tea, coffee, and stroopwafels are included to make your experience even more memorable

Great experience, both staff were lovely and very helpful. Atmosphere was also great, everyone was friendly and enjoying their time. Highly recommended if you’ve got an hour and half to spare in Amsterdam.

This is great for all levels of experience. They were helpful in guiding you to make a piece at your experience level. There were tons of templates to pick from—or inspire you to make your own. I was never stuck. I wish they offered to bake it for you, but I understand why it’s not possible for a mostly tourist clientele

This was a really fun experience. Different than most activities in Amsterdam. It was nice to relax and channel my artistic side. However, you don’t have to be artistic. I’m certainly not. They have lots of stencil type charcoal drawings to choose from or you can do your own picture. Martine, the teacher, shows you how to stencil and paint your tile. She offers the right balance of teaching and freedom to work on your own. The studio is clean and spacious. They sell soft drinks as well as alcoholic beverages. You take your creation home wrapped in bubble wrap, a napkin and in a nice box. Well worth the value and a nice break from the crowds of Amsterdam!
