We had planned to visit the Van Gogh museum but didn’t realise you had to book in advance so would have missed out. Thankfully these guided tours were available and were so glad we went for it. Our tour guide Titia messaged us before the tour with where to meet. When we got there she made us feel really welcome as she did with the other four people joining the tour. Once we were in Titia talked us through VVG’s life as an artist and how each stage of where he was living and who he was with was influencing his styles. Without the guide most of this would have been completely lost on us so to have it explained was great. It made the experience in the gallery much more enjoyable and we now look at his paintings knowing the story behind them. Titia kept the tour flowing well and asked us our opinions and questions about certain pieces. Which made it all more engaging than just listening to a lot of facts. The tour even ended with a VVG chocolate. Thank you for the tour and for making it one of our highlights of the trip.

If you want a deep dive into the journey of arguably one of the greatest painters then you owe it to yourself to book this private tour. I have been a working artist for decades and still aspects of artists whom influenced enlighten me with such tours. Not a mere “ here we have…” tour but a study of the why, the influence and the journey. None of this would. Have been possible without the knowledge of Titia. Her smooth , precise and deep knowledge of Van Gogh truly gave my wife and I new insight. The tour is two hours ling and afterward you are free to enjoy the museum and accompanying exhibits. We were fortunate to be here during Yellow and it alone was worth the price of admission. Your eyes will be tested. Enjoy your tour.

We booked the Private Tour for the Van Gogh Museum and had the chance to do it with Lucy. She was amazing, she knew a lot of facts of all kinds from Van Gogh, his childhood, life and work. It was a very interactive tour and she asked interesting questions all the time. She’s been super nice and we enjoyed our time with her. The experience was very funny and we regret it was only 2 hours. Highly recommended!
