Bang Pa In Palace

Bang Pa-In Palace is ancient palace back to Ayutthaya era. The Royal Palace at Bang Pa-In has a history dating back to the 17 th century. The palace is divide into 2 zone one is inner zone that for royal family to use as a resting place the other zone is outer zone that open for normal people and tourist. The architecture and art style of this palace is truly a masterpiece there are carving art on every wall the main chamber floor is Jay tile with art paint on each tile also surrounding area decorate by Chinese furniture and decoration.

Wat Mahathat

It is one of the oldest and most significant temples in the history of Ayutthaya as it housed the Buddha's holy relic. The temple is located in the area of the Ayutthaya Historical Park. where important royal ceremonies of the Ayutthaya era were held.

It was a long ride from Bangkok to see some of the most destroyed and neglectedtemples that we have seen since we left Bali. What a shame. Guide was more interested in taking our pictures constantly than giving us valuable history.

A private tour was excellent, an on time pick up from our hotel & a direct drive meant we got to the sites before the crowds. Our driver Pat & guide Bird took great care of us, making sure we had snacks, drinks & water. Bird explained the history behind the sites we visited & made sure we took photos at the best views. His English was sometimes difficult to understand but listening carefully it was fine - & a 100%better than my Thai! It was a fascinating day out, we are so pleased we went to see this historic area & very pleased we did the private tour. Thank you Bird & Pat!

We enjoyed our tour from start to finish. Guide ( Hoi) and driver were on time and the drive was fast and smooth using the express way from our location. Visit of the palace first was well done with the proposed circuit across the garden. Many detailed explanations from Hoi. Continued to Ayutthaya to visit the main temples. Many historical insights and keep photo spots provided by Hoi. Stopped for lunch was ok Completed the tour with the last 2 locations with the same amount of insights and tips. Return to Bangkok in no time using the express way. Great tour overall.

Our guide was friendly and professional. He provided interesting background information on each of the sites we visited and taught us important norms for respectfully visiting sacred sites. We appreciated him showing us images of what the ancient city looked liked before it began to decay.
