The Stalin Museum-Uplistsikhe is a unique museum dedicated to the life and legacy of Joseph Stalin, who was born in Georgia. The museum showcases a variety of artifacts, including Stalin's personal belongings and photographs, and offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into the life of one of the most controversial leaders in modern history.

Svetitskhoveli sits at the heart of Old Mtskheta and is even more historically significant than Jvari. This is the ‘First Georgian Church’, erected on a spot chosen by Saint Nino herself. • An outstanding experience with Imperial Tours

This was the highlight of our visit to Georgia. The tour was exceptional value, well organised, clear information and an amazing driver and guide David. We went to Jvari, Gori, Uplistsikhe and Mtskheta and every stop was fascinating. It made me want to come back and travel the rest of the country. David is a first class guide. I cannot emphasise enough how well informed and interesting his commentary was throughout the journey and how cheerful, thoughtful and respectful he was with all the different nationalities throughout the entire 10 hour tour. His English is excellent and he was able to answer the many questions that we had and provide some great insights into the history, culture and landscape of Georgia. We learned so much from him and the day was really special because we had the opportunity to have him as our guide. Fantastic lunch stop in Gori at a good value restaurant with great food. You will not be disappointed if you take this tour. And the company is excellent.

  • Feb 2025 tour

I joined a group tour on February 27 and it was amazing! The van was clean. The driver was driving smoothly. David, our tour guide was so knowledgeable and was accommodating of all (reasonable) requests. Everything about the tour was done except the late-comers in the morning. I suggest, they should just be given a time limit. If they’re late for more than 20 minutes (like the tourists that we waited for this morning), they should be left. That way, we don’t enable tardiness and also they’ll learn that the world doesn’t wait around and stop for them.

Our tour was great because of our tour guide, "Oto". We really liked him since he gave a lot of information and if we asked him something he didn't know, he honestly would say he didn't know vs making up an answer.
