This helicopter tour covers over 30 miles and shows off everything our shorter tour covers plus gives you great views of select ancient ruins by taking you into Boynton and Long canyons. We slow the helicopter down and get up close to these incredible sites! Just imagine how the people who built them must have had to live! These ruins are only accessible by extensive hiking IF you know where they are.
If you want to see the Sedona red rocks and the ancient Sinagua ruins this is for you!

From the moment you engage Talia & Conner in the office upon arrival to the moment you touch down after a breath-taking and informative flight with Steve, the experience with Apex Air Tours is everything you could hope for! I’ve been fortunate enough to have taken several helicopter tours in various locations domestically and internationally and this organization is top-notch! I originally booked the Ancient Sedona tour then upgraded at the last moment to the Secret Wilderness tour. We had a 9:20am flight with perfect flying conditions in a beautiful helicopter on the Secret Wilderness tour. My adult son and I sat in the rear outside seats which had ample room and fantastic views while an elderly couple occupied the two front seats. Kudos to Conner and Steve for patiently helping the elderly gentleman take his seat and ensuring their comfort. Background music complemented our pilot Steves educational narration of the rock formations, indigenous structures, and the general area in view. Steves dialogue with passengers wasn’t chatty and focused on the experience at hand. The flight pattern was thoughtful and allowed the beauty of Sedona to present itself with dramatic effect. During the flight Steve would pause and/or position the helicopter during certain moments to ensure all passengers could observe things that warranted more than a pass-by. Steves occasional banking and changes in elevation were forewarned and just dramatic enough to add to the experience of being in a helicopter and feel safe. If you’re remotely considering a helicopter tour in Sedona, make it happen with Apex. So glad this was my sons first helicopter flight and I got to share it with him. Thank you Team Apex!

5.00Great experience! The pilot, Steve, was experienced and showed us the amazing spots in Sedona! Easy to book and find them at the Sedona Airport! Conor was so friendly! He gave us the safety briefing and was great driving us to and from the pad while telling us fun facts about the area.

5.00What an amazing experience! I have traveled all over the world, am a licensed skydiver and have hiked to exotic locations but taking a helicopter through those rocks was hard to describe. I would recommend it to anyone going to Sedona.

5.00MUST DO! Tali was professional, pleasant and patient with aging members of our party. Gave us extra care with dignity. Steve, our pilot was a rock star. Professional, SKILLED and personable. He put us on several caves way up the cliffs. His flight was safe and FUN!

5.00One-of-a-kind access to stunning natural beauty and cultural heritage. Apex is a professional operation. Steve is a skillful and knowledgeable pilot, great guide. We paid more to sit in the front - highly recommend. The whole experience is worth the splurge if you can swing it. Mesa Grill across the parking lot is convenient lunch spot before or after, with sweeping views of the mountains.

Steve was a great pilot and we appreciated his music during the tour as his extensive knowledge of the area .Tali was also very helpful and provided us transportation to and from the airport from their office. We will absolutely recommend Apex tours again.

5.00What an amazing 30 minutes of shear delight! The office staff was amazing, organized & friendly. But Josh, our "MAVERICK PILOT" was phenominal & an expert flying above the tree lines & through the canyons! I would do this trip again in a heart beat!
