Prepare yourself for an unforgettable adventure! After a visit to teh Norwegian Mountaineering Centre where you will watch the movie Trollfolk, you will travel by bus towards Europe’s tallest vertical rock face Trollveggen (Troll Wall) and the rugid mountain Romsdalshorn. The bus will take you all the way up the famous Trollstigen (Troll Road), through 11 hairpin curves. The mountains the King, the Queen and the Bishop will watch over you as you find yourself in the valley of the Trolls. Enjoy the mesmerizing view from the top of Trollstigen before going back to Åndalsnes.

Trollstigen is closed for the 2024 season. The risk of falling rocks poses too great a danger to keep the road open until adequate safety measures are implemented. Because of this, we will not be visiting Trollstigen or the viewing platforms on this tour.

Andalsnes Troll Experience
Duration: 3 hours: Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before departure. These departure times are based on the schedule of the cruise ships.
Coach or Mini bus: Excursion by coach/mini bus. Size of the vehicle depends on the final numbers of participants.
Troll Movie and Visits: “Trollfolk” movie in the Mountaineering Museum. Visit to Troll Road and Troll Wall. High quality guided sightseeing tour.

3.0Coach trip around the Åndalsnes area. We were informed of revised itinerary due to the closure of the Troll Road. Enjoyed the trip around but the stop at a Troll campsite was a waste of time in my opinion. Guide gave us some information about the local area which was interesting.

5.0Dennis and union the driver provided a great tour compensating for the troll road being closed due to rock slides. Many water falls, troll wall. Got us close to the road to see it winding.
Tour does not actually take you up the Troll Road as described - only up to the bottom of the closed road to take pics

2.0Took some nice pictures of the troll wall, but the details for this excursion need to be re-written to reflect the fact that this tour no longer actually travels the winding road. Unfortunately, the description still mentions that you travel the hairpin turns (which you don’t) and mentions that you get to look out over it from the top (which you don’t). You do get to see it but they drive you to the bottom as high as they can before the road closes and then you take pictures.

3.0We saw the beginning of the troll wall but it was closed. The company did let us know ahead of time. I liked a waterfall that we saw which was nice. The guide was sweet but not from Norway. We did not learn very much which was unfortunate.
