Our horseback riding experience goes beyond a typical ride. This private experience is designed to be relaxed, safe, and accessible, with calm, well-trained horses suitable for all experience levels.
We work with a local family of arrieros who have over 35 years of experience caring for horses in the Andes. Each horse is known individually, receives regular veterinary care, and participates in only one ride per day, allowing proper rest and recovery.
Ride through the foothills of the Andes with local guides who share their knowledge of the land, the animals, and rural Chilean life.
We focus on creating a personal and welcoming atmosphere, where many travelers feel it’s less like a tour and more like spending time outdoors with people who genuinely enjoy what they do.
The experience finishes with a scenic picnic in nature, offering a moment to relax, connect, and enjoy the landscape at a slower pace.

What To Expect
Escape the city for a horseback riding experience in the foothills of the Andes, just 30 minutes from Santiago. After hotel pickup, we drive to a private ranch where your horse will be ready. Before starting, you’ll receive a short introduction to ensure you feel comfortable, no prior experience is required. We then ride for about two hours along quiet mountain trails, surrounded by native vegetation, open landscapes, and wide views of the Andes. The pace is relaxed and adapted to your level, making this experience suitable for beginners as well as more experienced riders. Along the way, you’ll experience the calm rhythm of horseback travel and get a glimpse into rural Chilean life, where horses, dogs, and the land are part of everyday life. At the end of the ride, we share a relaxed picnic with Chilean wine, one of the most memorable moments of the day. This experience is designed to be personal, safe, and easy to enjoy, ideal for travelers looking to connect with nature in an authentic way. *For the group tour, we require a minimum of 3 guests. If we don’t reach this minimum, we’ll contact you in advance to reschedule, choose a different tour, or arrange a full refund.

Amazing Horseback Riding in Andes

5.00This tour is a must do when you’re in Santiago, Chile. Juaquin and his partner are very good at their jobs. I felt safe, and had a blast riding in the mountain. My horse and all the others were so well behaved and gentle. My horse, who I call Guapo was amazing, he and I became best friends by the end of the ride. Beautiful scenery of Santiago from up there but most of all, it was an wonderful experience all around. The wine and snack spread after was icing on the cake. Thank you Juaquin for making your tour my favorite of all I did in Chile. I highly recommend it, money well spent for the experience and memories.

5.00Awesome time! Quick trip to the mountains/horse ranch. The guides and the horses were amazing and had a lovely ride with beautiful vistas. Finished the ride with wine and charcuterie. The group is small, the travel time is minimal and the experience was unforgettable- definitely book this!!

5.00We absolutely loved this excursion! From start to finish, it was an incredible experience and worth every penny. I had never been on a horse in my entire life, so I was honestly a little nervous at first. But Paloma and Victor were simply amazing. They were patient, attentive, and so encouraging. They took the time to make sure I felt safe and comfortable, explaining everything clearly and guiding us every step of the way. By the end of the ride, I felt completely at ease — and even ready to ride again! The scenery in the Andes was breathtaking, and the entire experience felt authentic and peaceful. To top it all off, we enjoyed a lovely picnic with delicious cheese and wine — the perfect ending to a beautiful adventure. I truly cannot thank Paloma and Victor enough for making this such a memorable day. If you’re considering this excursion, don’t hesitate — highly, highly recommend!

5.00Organized on time, great communication prior to, and excellent historic, geographical and some political information. Matias the guide and the Chilean cowboy Tomas:A1. Food and presentation was real! Engaging and enthusiastic time was had by all six guests. Would most highly recommend to anyone that wants more than a snapshot of a large city as a Chilean experience.
