5.00Anita was an amazing guide through the long and complex history of the Jewish community in Amsterdam. While we visited many spots associated with WWII, we also talked about the context; what went on before and after, echoes today and much to think about. Anita's perspective was balanced, and will be useful in my thinking as I return to everyday life.

5.00Jo was a great tour guide. So knowledgeable about Anne Frank and the Jewish history as it related to WWII and the Nazi invasion of Amsterdam. Each twist and turn she filled with interesting facts. From the 1600s through today; she was able to fill our tour with related stories that made it very real to us.

We have done similar themed tours in other European countries and she was OUTSTANDING! She took our basic understanding from having read The Diaries of Anne Frank as teens to a deeper appreciation and understanding of how it affected this wonderful city and country.
