Most of these places we could have gone to on our own. The tour guide did provide some historical perspective but added too much of his own history, which was not needed. Did not attend the complete list of places due to poor time management on the guide’s part. Would have liked to go to Casa Domingo and spend more time there.

I booked this trip a long time ago and was looking forward to it. I waited at the appointed place and time and my guide never showed up. The tour operator has also failed to respond to any messages

Our guide, Roberto, was energetic, friendly, and clearly passionate about sharing Antigua with us. He was very informative when it came to local foods and recommendations, and we appreciated being shown places to sample traditional foods and find lunch. However, the tour itself felt somewhat scattered, and we were hoping for more historical and cultural background throughout the experience. Time management could also have been stronger, as we spent close to an hour at Starbucks and additional time at a jade factory, which limited our ability to see more of the city. Unfortunately, we were not able to complete the full tour, and see the Iglesia de La Merced or visit Casa Santo Domingo, which was one of the historical sites we were most looking forward to seeing. While his entertaining and humorous style was enjoyable, a more focused structure and better pacing would have made the tour more rewarding overall.

Jose did an amazing job with our walking tour. We learned so much interesting history about Antigua! He also took one of my favorite photos of my entire trip for me at the Santa Catrina arch. Much as Gracias Jose!! PS Be aware, part of the tour is a sales pitch for jade, that was the only thing we didn’t like, we did enjoy learning about the jade and its significance to the Mayan people, but we didn’t enjoy the sales side of things—I’ve never paid for a sales pitch before. Just something we didn’t realize when we booked.

Excellent tour with Felix. I highly recommend, a lot of this city’s history and treasure will be missed without such an enthusiastic and passionate guide.
