What To Expect
Edificio Kavanagh
We begin in front of the Kavanagh Building. Here we introduce ourselves and I provide context about the neighborhood and its importance within the world of art and architecture in Buenos Aires. I share the famous legend surrounding the construction of the Kavanagh and talk about the building as a piece of cultural heritage.
Plazoleta Alberto Ginastera
At this stop, we focus on the sculpture Nosotros Afuera by Federico Manuel Peralta Ramos. Through this work, I talk about his eccentric personality, his belief that art and life were inseparable, and his connection to the Di Tella Institute in the 1960s. This stop helps us understand the experimental spirit of the period and of this iconic Buenos Aires artist, and how Retiro became the stage for a bold and provocative avant-garde.

5.00The proposal is not only innovative but also attractive in information. Tamara provides the tour complementing with data in a very generous way! It integrates the participants and helps us to reach the kitchen of the artists, often with the artists themselves present! I highly recommend! it is the most original and pleasant thing I participated in in years! And another way to look at this city that is SO BEAUTIFUL! PS: It is the 2nd tour I do with Tami and I know more will come!

5.00Very interesting tour and tour. Tamara guides you through the art to know more about the history of some spots in the city and you are going to know galleries or studios of very great artists. Places you don’t even imagine exist and are an amazing oasis with art, shows, exhibits and more. Talks with the artists, tell you more about their works and with the guide and comments that Tamara is also sharing during the tour. Highly recommended. Something different to know another part of Buenos Aires

5.00A nice three hour tour learning a little history of contemporary art in Retiro and visiting three galleries that I had never been to before, meeting the artists at two of them was very special. A nice way to meet new people, there were visitors and locals in our group.
