5.00We were traveling with Gil on this cool tour of eastern Madeira. From plant science, to tasting Maracujas, to off-road stretches with an open roof, we explored the wonderful landscape of Madeira. our driver Gil was very experienced and knew many adventurous trails that you would not travel even as a tourist. That took the whole thing to another level. Nature speaks for itself! Absolute recommendation for a bit of action!

5.00Fantastic day out with our guide Gil – friendly, knowledgeable, and great fun. The views from Pico do Areeiro were stunning (so lucky with the weather!), and the Balcões Levada walk was short, easy, and beautiful. Loved the off-roading – exciting but safe thanks to Gil’s expert driving. The traditional houses at Santana were a lovely stop, full of character. São Lourenço’s dramatic cliffs were a perfect end to the day. Highly recommend this tour – and especially Gil!

5.00Fantastic tour with a wonderful guide Diogo Camacho. Diogo drives the crazy hills and narrow roads like a pro; he’s also very knowledgeable of the history and plant life of Madeira, pointing out numerous flowers, trees and fruits along our route. This tour included gorgeous views and hiking at Mount Aeirio and Sao Lourenco, the Balcoes levada, and skywalks. The forests and driving off road were breathtaking, much like the Pacific northwest of the US and so different from the western side of the island. Both tours with True Spirit are exceptional. I recommend thus your highly!

5.00This tour was amazing, the views from all the stops were just breathtaking. Our guide Jill was an excellent driver, plus very friendly and he also provided us with so many interesting facts about the Madeira island as such. Overall, it was a fun, interesting trip, including the off road drive. Definitelly recommend to everyone.

5.00The tour through the east of Madeira is very varied and worth seeing. We especially liked the off-road section and the lunch at the trout pond. Chris was a super guide, his English was excellent and clearly understandable, just as well we could talk with him German. He was very skilled in handling the jeep. The tour is varied and goes up to one of the highest points on the island. We had unfortunately not so good weather and were glad to have warm clothes with us. The levada hike was a welcome change and led us directly to the trout farm. We can only recommend this tour.

5.00It was a beautiful trip. Bruno is a very good driver and always gives very informative explanations. He showed us see beautiful places of the island that we as "normal" tourists would not have found. The off-road routes and the lunch break were particularly exciting.

5.00What a great day out on the 4x4 Eastern island tour. Rui was a great guy his English was excellent and he was very knowledgeable about the island. He could certainly handle the 4x4 very well and we felt very safe with his driving. It was a varied day with a drive up to one of the highest points in the island. Take warm clothes and waterproofs as it was cold and damp in the clouds. We did some off roading and a levada walk all good fun. Lunch was at a trout farm and you could catch your own trout for lunch if you wanted to. After a great lunch it was off again for more lovely views over the island. All in all a great day and would recommend the trip to anyone.
