Changing of the Guard Ceremony
Your tour begins at the iconic Greek Parliament, where you'll witness the impressive Changing of the Guard ceremony at Syntagma Square. Your host will share insights into the history and symbolism behind the Evzones' traditional uniform, the significance of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the role of the Greek Parliament in the country's political landscape.
Plaka
Next, we’ll stroll through the charming streets of Plaka, the oldest neighborhood in Athens. Your host will guide you to the grand Metropolitan Cathedral and the historic Small Mitropolis, before exploring the lively heart of Plaka. As we walk along Tripodon Street, the oldest in Europe, you’ll discover the impressive Lysicrates Monument and hear stories of its connection to ancient theatrical competitions.

5.00It was an excellent tour. We got to experience the highlights of the city with Katerina who was passionate about her native city. She explained the history of the city and brought it to life for us. It was an amazing start to our city break. We loved the taverna. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was impeccable. It was so good we went back. A very big thank you to Katerina for such an excellent tour

5.00Catherine (accompanied by Eva) was fantastic. The “dynamic duo” were knowledgeable, interesting and all round considerate tour guides on this very enjoyable evening walk through Athens. The tour meandered through districts of Athens discussing a blend of archeological sites, general information and Greek history. The tour ended at a wonderful restaurant where the food matched the tour - absolutely wonderful. Definitely recommend this as a tour to take if you are in Athens.

5.00Katarina was an excellent guide! She walked us through some beautiful areas of Athens, filling us with the history of the sights. She even included the Greek origin of contemporary English words, and dinner was delicious! It was a great tour!

5.00This was an awesome excursion! We saw and learned about so many places and things. Our tour guide, Emily, brought the history to life and she was so kind and personable. When the tour ended. We had a fabulous Greek dinner that was also included in the price of the tour. There was so much food we could not finish it! Wonderful walking tour to say the least!

I'd walked some of the area in the daytime but it took on a different atmosphere at night and especially when I realised things I'd missed. Highly recommend the tour and the dinner was perfect. He took us to parts of Athens that it would be hard to find on your own even if you knew where to look. We were also given dinner at a fantastic restaurant. The food and company was excellent. 5.00Our tour guide for this small group tour was Emily who did an awesome job. She knew the ancient history as well as the modern. She took us places that are more private areas and educated us on all the area. The twilight tour gave a great refreshing perspective. My wife and I highly recommend this tour without any hesitation. We finished with a great dinner.
