What To Expect
Acropolis Museum
The Acropolis of Athens is a rocky hill 156 meters above sea level and approximately 70 meters above the level of the city of Athens. The Parthenon is a temple built in honor of the goddess Athena, patroness of the city of Athens. Τhe architects who worked were Iktinos, Kallikratis, and possibly Phidias (5th century BC). Finally, we will see the Erechtheion with the famous Karyatidis and the Propylaea.
Parthenon
The Parthenon is a temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron. Its construction began in 447 BC and was completed in 438 BC, although decorations of the Parthenon continued until 432 BC. It is the most important surviving building of Classical Greece, generally considered to be the culmination of the development of the Doric order. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of Greek art.

They picked us up from the airport and took us to our hotel, gave us a half day tour of Athens and then we loved our experience so much we booked Andreas for another tour to Nafpoli! 5.00Great tour and great tour guide. They prebooked tickets for us at the acropolis. We stopped for the changing of the guard and the Olympic stadium. Andreas our wonderful tour guide even took us the city to walk around and eat! I highly recommend this tour with Andreas!

5.00We were shown around Athens by Andreas who was our tour guide. It was wonderful to visit the Acropolis, the Olympic stadium and witness the change of guards during our tour. Andreas enlightened us on the city’s history and also took us to the topmost point from where we could have a bird’s eyeview of the city with the Aegean sea below. It was surreal. A huge thank you to Andreas and Greece Athens taxi for the amazing experience 👌

5.00What a wonderful day! Our driver, Andreas, picked us up as we disembarked our cruise ship, bringing us a Greek treat for breakfast. He was so pleasant and knowledgeable and was intent on showing us Athens. He drove us around the city pointing out ancient treasures and modern developments. Of course we saw the Parthenon and Acropolis, but he also took us to see the Olympic stadium, the guards at the President’s house, and the new library and complex. It was a great day!

4.00Our Athens tour was one we will long remember. Our wonderful tour guide, Andreas, made seeing Athens an absolute treat. He has a great personality and is very knowledgeable about Athens and what the best highlights are. We are both seniors and it was so helpful to be driven to see the sights as our mobility is limited. Seeing all of Athens wonders like the Acropolis and Parthenon, the Olympic stadium the changing of the guards at the President's mansion among several others gave us an awesome insight of this beautiful city. Anyone who gets Andreas as a tour guide will surely be in for a fantastic tour.

5.00Punctual to start, then to top that , the minibus was very well outfitted for our group of eight. All this made for a most comfortable ride and thus were able to absorb the wealth of information Kostas was eagerly disseminating. He knew all the short cuts and made sure we arrived on time to see the elaborate changing of the guards. A show not to be missed ! Call Kostas when you are in Town his team will pamper you.

5.00Andreas was quite professional and his car clean and luxury. He knew exactly where to drop us and pick us up for us to self-tour the Zeus Temple, the mansion changing of guard and nearby olympic stadium, the Acropolis, and the new archaeology museum. He also was flexible in our plans which had to shift, and eas accommodating when we wanted to stop for a snack and glass of wine. I recommend him and his company highly!
