Me and my sister had an amazing time with Youness and his family. We did a 2-day hiking tour with a night in a Berber village at his uncles house. The landscapes we passed were breathtaking! On the first day he picked us up from the Bus station in Amizmiz and we walked to his family, where we cooked vegetarian couscous together with his wife. She also did beautiful henna for us! We felt very welcomed and had a great time. After this we hiked up to the Berber village, where we had the chance to spend an evening with the his uncle and aunt and delicious food:) On the second day we reached a small peak and had lunch with an amazing view. Youness was very kind and could tell us a lot about his culture. We felt safe all the time and Youness adapted the tour to our wishes. We can recommend this tour if you are interested in a mix of hiking and a local culture experience.

We did this experience as a family, and it was absolutely wonderful 💛 It was the perfect activity to enjoy together, with something for everyone. The walk was easy and enjoyable, even for the kids, and the scenery was beautiful. The cooking class was a great moment to share — we all participated, learned new things, and had so much fun preparing a delicious Moroccan meal together. The family hosting us was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the very beginning. We also loved the henna experience, which added a special and memorable touch, especially for the children. This is a perfect family-friendly experience, full of culture, connection, and joy. We highly recommend it to anyone traveling with family who wants to create meaningful memories together 🌿✨

We had the most lovely time with Yunis. He was knowledgable, friendly and knows the mountains so well. He took us to his house where we met his lovely wife and daughter and his wife made a gorgeous lunch. We spent a memorable day and a half with Yunis and would 100% recommend him for any length of time.

Spending a few days with a family in the Atlas Mountains has been one of the best experiences I've ever had. I wish them all the luck in the world on this new adventure.

Great day with Youness and his family!! We had the opportunity to know his village and his family! If you want to run away from tourists in Marrakech, this is for you. The best thing is that he will prepare the day as you want (if you want more cooking, more cooking, if you want more hiking, more hiking). It was a pleasure to have conversations with him and to enjoy the whole day!!! Youness, we will manage to make the keftas again (first try was not good, hehe). Thanks Youness for a great day and for your advices... regards to the family! coming soon our own keftas! ;) David & Cris!!

I just came back home from 2 days spent with Younes and his family. I think this is the best experience you can have if you came to Marokko to know more about the culture. Younes is very open and interested in other cultures as well, it is the ideal bridge to bring you closer to Marokko. He is knowledgable about plants, mountains and berber music. It is very interesting to chat with him. Hiking was very nice and peaceful because there were not tourists in the area, the best way to recover from the chaos in Marrakech. Also I really enjoyed cooking with Younes and his lovely family, they are very welcoming and they also adapt to me being vegetarian.

Just come back from Marocco, I would like to share one of the best experience I had ! Me and a friend of mine booked a 2 days hiking private tour with Younes near Amizmiz village, sorrounded by the Atlas Mountains. During those days we have been hiking around the area that offers incredibile views, guided by Younes, that gave us a lot of insights about the region and the nature, and prepared for us a delicious picnic and the typical mint tea (pay attention, it’ s addictive 🤭). We spend the night at Younes’ home, in his born village, together with his lovely wife Kowtar, that was preparing for us amazing breakfast and afternoon snacks with fresh bread, pancakes and mint tea. We had the opportunity to cook together the typical dishes trying the real local cuisine. We prepare the chicken bastilla (now on my favorite meal list ) and a vegetarian tajine. On the second day Kowtar prepared also a delicious cous cous that we experienced eating ‘with the hands’ like they use to do. Younes’ father, that ate with us, had a remarkable technique for crafting these little balls into perfect bites, more years of experience 🤣 During the 2 days was super interesting to discover new things about berber culture and traditions, and was a unique experience to share simple life moments with the family that makes us feel part of them. Was inspiring to listent to Younes story, starting from when he was a child and learn about the struggles and challenges he faces to guarantee the best life possible to his family and to support his community. To conclude, the family is super hospitable and makes sure you lack for nothing. I highly recommend it to people looking for an authentic experience and a deeper connection with the locals. There are some moments lived there that I will save in my memories forever.

Youness provided an unforgettable experience in Sidi Hssaine, combining a stunning hike with a traditional Berber cooking class. The landscapes were breathtaking, and the hospitality of the local family made it even more special. Learning to prepare an authentic meal and sharing it together was a highlight! Youness’s knowledge, kindness, and passion for his culture made this a truly unique experience. Highly recommended!
