What To Expect
Auckland Harbour Bridge
Standing sentinel across the Waitemata Harbour, the Auckland Harbour Bridge is a crucial piece of infrastructure. Harbour bridge is the only bridge which connects the metropolis of the central business district to the North Shore and beyond to Northland.
North Head Historic Reserve
The location of Maungauika at the entrance to the Waitematā Harbour made it an important coastal defense. It was fears of a Russian invasion in the 1880s that led to the construction of a fort and the three disappearing gun batteries dotted along the maunga (mountain). Norht Head Historic Reserve might be change to Kauri Tree Forrest on afternoon session.

5.00Sean was so great! He was very knowledgeable about the city and gave so many interesting facts and answered all the questions. The tour hit spots I never heard about along with mt Eden which is probably on everyone’s list. Another great thing about this tour is that we could drive to the top of mt. Eden so we didn’t have to walk up any of the hills. Overall great day out and would recommend to anyone coming to Aukland!

5.00Bharat of Epic Tours was beyond a tour guide. He was our ‘tour whisperer’ combining his vast knowledge of Auckland’s attractions and distilling it to intimate bits of story telling and historical narratives. Very rare among travel experts. Bharat is charismatic, witty and engaging and if he ever vied to be Mayor of Auckland, he would win hands down.

5.00Jude took us and three others to the Westhaven Marina; the Kauri Glen Reserve where we walked on a boardwalk through a dense forest of protected trees; Maungawhau, the volcanic cone of Mount Eden; and the Auckland Domain Wintergardens, which had a large gorgeous greenhouse full of seasonal flowers in bloom and even vegetables! It was a great way to learn about Auckland between the time we debarked from our cruise ship and when our early evening flight left for the USA. Jude had a lot of interesting things to say about the areas we drove through and was willing to answer any questions we had. The tour was definitely worth it and Jude was a great guide.

5.00This was an intimate tour with just five guests in a small, very comfortable van. Sean, our tour guide, was warm, friendly, informative and extremely helpful. We got to see many of the sites of interest around Auckland in a relaxing and enjoyable way. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this City.

5.00Really enjoyed the tour of Auckland City. Got to see areas that you wouldn't normally know about. Some great views from Mt Eden and other hills. Sean was a great communicator and was courteous with all of us. Really appreciated the half day tour! Highly recommend!

5.00Brendon was so knowledgeable and well organized for our small 5 person group. His van was spotless and had water and he used every minute to show us so much of Auckland (suburban views, historic forts, Botanic Gardens) plus explain the culture and lifestyle there.
