What To Expect
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation and take you on a journey through the Ivalo, Inari, or Saariselkä areas to find the auroras. We'll let you know what's included in the activity. The route we take depends slightly on where we pick you up. Along the way, we’ll stop at the best potential spots to catch the Northern Lights.

5.00Aurora Hunting by minivan was an amazing expert! Favored by a super clear evening and excellent solar activity, we saw a spectacular Aurora! Our guide also has outfitters for us a fire on the frozen lake around which we drank a hot drink and roasted a sausage! I absolutely recommend Ivalo Experiences.

1.00This experience was canceled a few hours before I was due to be picked up because of snowy weather. I asked for a reschedule for the next evening . However, even though I was promised a call back to let me know when I would be picked up, I was never contacted. I am deeply disappointed that I wasted time with this company when I could have chosen another more reputable company to view the aurora.

5.00The best part of our Lapland Trip was the hunt for the Northern Lights with Ivalo Experiences. Johanna and Niilo took our party chasing the Northern Lights and with their expertise we were able to witness the Northern Lights. The whole experience is etched in our memory and was truly unforgettable. This was then followed by a visit to their reindeer farm where we met their reindeers and had some delicious snacks/drinks around a fireplace midst of the forest. The whole three hour experience was just so calming and we would highly recommend Ivalo Experiences for anyone wanting to experience Northern Lights.

5.00Wonderful! Everything was perfect! Johanna and Niilo were very concerned about making us feel comfortable and safe (it was -30°C that night). They know the best places to see the Northern Lights, as they are locals. And we saw the most beautiful Aurora ever! After the Aurora hunt, we even had a campfire with reindeer visiting us, hot chocolate, and sausages! Truly, the best experience we had in Finland! We had other tours with other companies, but nothing compares with what Johanna and Niilo offered us.

3.00The escorts were very nice and kind, unfortunately we did not see the dawn for the cloudy sky Given the cost of the experience I would evaluate the possibility of having a refund (as other companies do) in case of non-sighting of the aurora

5.00It was truly an unsurpassed experience. Johanna and her partner made us live a very authentic experience, first driving hunting for the aurora that manifested itself in all its beauty, then with their bonfire, inside their reindeer farm. We stayed chatting by the fire, in the classic Sami tent sipping great blueberry juice. Truly special people, an incredible kindness and humanity. 100 stars

5.00It was such a wonderful and valuable experience. The whole organisation was really good and the people were soo nice and they try their best to give you unforgettable moments... Coming from Japan, I couldn't convey it well in words, but I really appreciate it. Thank you so much for letting us see reindeer up close and inviting us to the homemade Kota, as well as many surprises that we can't experience in Japan such as barbecue. This tour has been amazing! I was also happy to see how kind she was, taking pictures and putting on coats in the extreme cold. I definitely want to introduce them to my friends who go to Philando.

5.00Johanna and Niilo were great hosts who had really thought of everything. From warm jackets, firewood and sausages (also vegan) to ice barbecues. There was nothing missing. We saw the aurora lights once for quite a long time, which was really great. Johanna even had a camera with her and took great photos of us. Otherwise, unfortunately, we weren't very lucky with the weather but that didn't matter as we then headed out into the wilderness and Niilo made a warm fire. We sat cosily around the fire on a frozen lake and roasted sausages + drank homemade berry juice and learnt a lot about Lapland and the region. A really great experience. Johanna and Niilo are two great and nice people from the Ivalo region and know their way around. I can highly recommend this tour to everyone.
