What To Expect
Krakow
Your tour begins with picking you up from the specified address you choose. Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is located 65 km from Kraków, in Oświęcim. The journey to The Museum will take about 1h 20 min. During the road our driver will explain to you everything about the tour, what it will look like step by step, and answer all your questions. Before your tour starts, you will have a 15-minute break for the toilet.
Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau
The first part of your tour is Auschwitz I, the former main concentration camp. You will learn everything about the beginnings of the concentration camp in this place, as well as about various things that happened there. The main part of the exhibition is located here.

5.00I booked the Auschwitz and Birkeau tour for myself and my wife with Touristico, and couldn’t have been happier with the service, or indeed the price which included the hotel pickup, entry tickets to both parts of the camp and the return. As soon as I booked, I was sent a message on WhatsApp, and was kept informed about the whole process such as collection time and choices for lunch before the day of the trip. Our driver, Lucayo, was very polite, friendly and welcoming, and drove us to Auschwitz, then Birkenau, before taking us back to our hotel that evening. He ensured we were comfortable through the whole journey, kept us very well informed and organised throughout the day and explained everything very well to us, allowing us the time to get coffee and lunch when we wanted, and made sure we we getting the most out of our trip. The guide, Mario, that took us on the guided tour, spoke very good English, he was very pleasant with his tone and delivery of the phenomenal amount of knowledge and history he had to share, and was more than happy to answer any questions the people in the group had to ask, ensuring that everyone understood what was going on and was able to take the time to absorb the full tour. Mario was also our guide for the Birkenau part of the whole tour, and as before, he was a wealth of knowledge and had a fantastic way of divulging the details of the camp, and had a very gentle manner regarding the sensitive subjects, but he did not dilute the facts or figures to ensure we had a full understanding of how atrocious these places were, setting a very fitting and somber atmosphere. There was around 30/35 people in our group, and it never felt overly crowded or rushed, even in the more confined areas of the camps. I couldn’t rate Touristico, Lucayo or Mario highly enough, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They provided us with a fantastic day. Thank you.

5.00Stress free day. Peter was excellent in ensuring this was stress free. Plenty of toilet breaks and real relaxed vibe from Peter. Inside Anna was knowledgeable, camp 1 you receive a headset camp 2 you do not so can be hard to hear as the group is pretty large. We selected 9:30 but was picked up at 5:50am, however this seems outside the tours control so everything from there side was excellent.

5.00Had a fantastic experience today with our driver, Daniel. He kept in touch prior to arriving outside our hotel this morning on time. Upon arrival at Auschwitz, he quickly provided us with our tickets and ensured we knew where to go. He was later waiting to transfer us to the nearby Birkenau site and after that, was waiting to transport us back to our hotel. Also, the tour guide lady did a brilliant job showing us around the site in an informative and sensitive manner. Lovely experience all round and would definitely book via TripAdvisor again.
