Loved this three-hour food tour! We got to try all kinds of local dishes – noodles, dumplings, fruit, tea, sweets – everything was super tasty. The small group of just five people made it really cozy and fun. The places we visited felt super authentic, no touristy spots at all. Jade was the perfect guide – friendly, funny, and full of great info. Thanks for such a great experience! Totally recommend!

Got to try dishes that I would not otherwise have experienced. Restaurants/food outlets were also those that one would never go into. Superb experience that included a tea tasting experience. So glad to have gone.

We were short on time so this was a perfect way to spend our one evening in Shanghai -Helen was a great guide who took us to some delicious places to eat -at least 6 stops with knowledge shared along the way -still thinking about pan fried dumplings!

I joined this small group food tour while traveling solo in Shanghai and loved it. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable right away. We stopped at a mix of hole-in-the-wall restaurants and street stalls — all places I never would’ve found alone. Each dish came with a bit of local history and cultural context, which made it more than just a tasting walk. As a vegetarian, I was impressed by how well the guide handled substitutions without losing authenticity. The pacing was relaxed, and the conversations were easy and genuine. If you want to experience Shanghai’s local food scene beyond the tourist spots, this tour’s an excellent choice.

We always try to start all of our visits to new places with food tours, as in our mind it is a best way to feel the atmosphere, meet local people, see the city through their eyes and get a real taste of the new place. This time was not an exception and we truly enjoyed the evening with our guide in Shanghai. We were just off the plane but her energy, enthusiasm and love of Shanghai were really contagious so we forget how tired we were and dived into Shanghai wonderful food ocean without fear or hesitation! We had an chance to try all the most famous Shanghai specialties which were on our "must try list" but many more. We had a chance to talk not only about the food, but about life in Shanghai, about old and new traditions, meet local people, who are not just cooking the food, but truly putting their hart into it. I would recommend everyone to come and experience it themselves!!!
