I did this tour a couple of days after being in Singapore and Amanda did a great job in adding extra bits to the tour so I got to learn a bit more about Singapore life. It turned out that I was the only one on the tour so we walked and talked through a couple of suburbs, as well as ate lunch together and tried a few different dishes. Really interested to see some of the older style apartments, including a bomb shelter on our way. 3 hours went past really quick!

Our tour guide, William, was a fountain of knowledge. We learned so much about Singapore history and culture in just 3 hours. The food was diverse and chosen with care to represent different cuisines. William was very accommodating to my being a pescatarian. Highly recommend this tour and tour guide!

We had a wonderful afternoon in Singapore experiencing the Hawker food culture with Kristine. She was enthusiastic, friendly, and very informative about the different types we had and their history. She could speak a bit louder in busy areas, but we knew she was being polite to others. We loved all of her dishes she chose and would recommend her highly!!

John Tan who lead out tour was excellent - the combination of learned and lived experience he had with Singapore and its food history was both interesting and informative. We loved him describing the development of Hawker food culture and the history of settlers in the area help shape what we see today- a vibrant and totally modern city with a multicultural community that lives well together.

Thanks Cathy for an amazingly detailed tour in Singapore. We toured through and were educated on the rich history of Singapore’s China Town, saw some great street art, ducked into a hawker centre for a mountain of local delicacies and had an extensive and informative tour of all levels of the beautiful temple. Next up we visited the Singapore master planning display which details the history of the development of Singapore, the overall master plan, the delivery of all services to the city and suburbs and some detailed and informative scale models of Singapore. Finally we sat down for a well earned coffee and kaya toast. We were very lucky to have Cathy share her extensive knowledge of Singapore’s history and modern day. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely street food experience with Christene in Singapore. We had almost no knowledge of Chinese food and she gave us the best to taste while explaining about the origin and how it is made. And wow it was so good and more than enough.....we almost did not make it for desert. We also learned a lot about the culture and history and I can recommend this tour. Good value for money too.
