Wat Mahathat
One of the most impressive Buddha head statues located at the base of a Bodhi tree. It was once a royal monastery and a residence for the Supreme Patriarch during the early Ayutthaya period.
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet
The largest and most important temple within the royal palace area in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, and a model for the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok.

Walking through the historic sites was amazing, and the Grand Pearl cruise back to Bangkok was relaxing with great views along the river and a delicious buffet on board. Everything ran smoothly.

We visited beautiful ancient temples and historical sites, and the guide explained everything in a fun and easy-to-understand way. The trip ended with a relaxing cruise along the Chao Phraya River, offering lovely views on both sides. It’s a perfect day trip from Bangkok, combining culture, sightseeing, and relaxation. Highly recommended!
