There's three things you must do when visiting Australia:
Meet the native animals, learn to throw a boomerang and enjoy an authentic Australian BBQ. Yes it includes shrimp ;)
We will literally "throw shrimp on the barbie". Vegetarian + vegan options available - no worries mate! Perfect for families, friends, solo travellers.
We're driving to The 'Australian Reptile Park.' Where you'll meet Koalas, Kangaroos and more! Included is an ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BBQ lunch, with accompanying Australian wine (and cheese platter).
With a little boomerang lesson at the end!
If you're a private group of 4 or more - please email straight through! We can look at private group discounts ;)
P.S. Australia lost 30% of it’s koalas in bushfires. Koalas could be functionally extinct by the year 2050. This Experience donates $2 per day, every day, ALL YEAR to Aussie Ark. Look them up online. Your booking will help breed koalas.

This has been my favourite experience in Sydney whilst been here. After a week of horrible rain, the sun came out and shined all day. Met Sean at a hotel in the morning, he was so chill, I enjoyed our chat before we set off, found out about what to expect throughout the day and learnt a little about him. We went to the Australian Reptile Park and the experience began there, I was able to feed the Kangaroos, which I was very excited about and Sean took loads of photos for me and sent them over when he could throughout the day. Then I got to meet the Koalas, and was able to stroke them, and have photos with them, was lucky was able to see them awake and moving around, it was amazing to see. Then had an interaction with some colourful birds they landed on my arm as I was feeding them a bit of a french fry. Had some lovely photos with those. After this Sean cooked a lovely BBQ and whilst I waited, had some cheese from the cheese board he had provided, there was a lot of variety, and as I didn't like wine Sean knew I liked Cider as he had kindly asked before the tour, and gotten me some apple cider that tasted lovely, really appreciated that. After the BBQ had more time to interact with the kangaroos which was fun. I had such a great time and loved that it was a small group, it was such a personalised experience. After this part of the day Sean taught me how to throw a boomerang, I really enjoyed this was so determined to get it to return to me, I nearly managed to do it. Loved this so much I have now bought my own boomerang to practice some more. On the way back Sean took me to Manly had a little walk along the beach there and high street, and got the boat back to Circular Quay from there, I had such an amazing time, it brightened up my week for sure.

This tour is a solid 10/10. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney. I initially expected a basic animal encounter, but what I experienced was truly unforgettable and multifaceted. Sean is far from your average tour guide. He’s a gourmet chef, a passionate historian, a skilled photographer, and even a sommelier. His expertise and enthusiasm elevated every part of the day. From start to finish, Sean communicated clearly and made sure every detail was covered. As a solo traveler, I felt completely at ease and had a phenomenal time. The family-style barbecue was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and created a warm space for guests to connect. And of course, the cuddly koalas and kangaroos made the experience magical. This tour far surpassed my visits to Sydney Zoo, Featherdale, and even Taronga. It’s a more ethical, intimate, and meaningful way to interact with animals, all while supporting a great cause. Thank you, Sean!

Just book it! Worth every dollar! You'll meet up in a relaxing café in Sydney, meet your host, meet some other travellers. Chat and have a coffee while understanding what the Experience is all about. These tours are small, intimate and educational, with a maximum group size of 10, which I thought was really nice! This is not "big bus tourism", quite the opposite. The tour is VERY focussed on the amazing work of the 'Aussie Ark' charity and learning about the incredibly passionate Tim Faulkner (he won Australian conservationist of the year) and his many endangered animal projects. After our coffee, we jumped in a comfortable bus and exited Sydney for a small 1-hour roadtrip! So many great things happened all day but mainly: You'll get close up with a Koala! This was a life dream of mine for so long. Your Koala meeting is so intimate and special. You'll learn why they're endangered in the wild and going extinct. Getting up next to the Koala was done very ethically, fully supervised, and is part of Aussie Ark's efforts to spread awareness and create an insurance population. Just from booking this experience, $2 every day is being donated to the charity. That's something which Australian Wine & Cheese choose to do. Aussie Ark specialize in breeding endangered animals and it's great to see them collaborate. ANYWAY! This experience is SO MUCH BETTER than a standard zoo. There are Kangaroos roaming around as well. Plus you'll get photos of your entire day from Sean, the Experience host (including lots of Koala and Kangaroo photos). You'll see Wallabies, Tasmanian Devils, Lorikeets, Dingoes, Flying Foxes, Cassowary, Frogs, Turtles, Tortoises, a Crocodile, Alligators, Snakes (optional), Spiders (optional). You'll learn so much about Australia and have a HUGE BBQ LUNCH. With a cheese-platter entrée and wine included. OMG there is so much included. Tea and coffee from the start, park entry fee, koala encounter, so much food, snacks, main meal. Sean BBQ's sausages, mushrooms, onion, shrimp, bacon, chicken. Four different kinds of cheese. He serves with avocado, spinach, tomato and about 50 different sauces. You can build your own BBQ Burger which I really enjoyed. He even caters for any of your dietary restrictions! Plus you get your own Boomerang throwing lesson at the end! So much fun. I highly recommend this Experience to everyone. I was unsure on booking, then I checked the Australian Wine & Cheese social media, saw that they're number 1 on another booking platform and jumped right in. Despite them being new on Viator and Trip Advisor. You can't go wrong with them! Thank you Sean! Thank you Australian Wine And Cheese. Thank you Aussie Ark! Thank you Tim! A life memory of a day.
