Having loved the Wollongong tour, I gifted each of my sisters-in-law the Sydney tour as a Christmas present. For a two-hour tour, I found it very affordable. Our guide, Cat, was there to welcome our group of 13 people well ahead of meeting time, and was very personable, knowledgeable and generous with her time as she literally went the extra mile to cover the tour content, extending it by an extra 30 minutes. The four of us learnt so much about how women have shaped Sydney in so many different ways: medical, architectural, social, to name a few. It is so heart-warming to hear those dug-up stories we need to know to fill the gap in our history books! The walking bits between stations can be filled by chats between participants, extensions of knowledge from our guide, or just reflection on what you just heard, you choose! Highly recommended whether you are male or female, young or older, a tourist or living in Sydney... you will learn so much and never look at Sydney the same way.

I think it is very important for Australians to know about the untold history of women's contributions and achievements. In my opinion it is shameful that the history that is taught neglects to mention women's contributions particularly when a male spouse is often given credit for his female spouse's contribution to often joint achievements with no mention of the woman's role. This tour addresses some of that neglect of women's contributions to Australia's history. The tour guide was exceptional- she made history come alive. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about women's neglected history.

This tour was so enjoyable. Most of the 10 person group were Sydney locals lead by the totally engaging Kathryn. She had us all enthralled with her stories about these wonderful women from Sydney’s history as we walked from Hyde Park to The Rocks. Caroline Chisholm totally deserves a statue in a prominent location in Sydney. A highly enjoyable and worthwhile tour!!

Even if you think you know Sydney you should do this tour! Firstly it’s a lovely walk around the city and we walked parts that we have never done before. Then there’s the history talk along the way. Every story was fascinating and inspiring. Our guide Cat was very enthusiastic and her passion for history came through. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough - so enjoyable and interesting.
