Baku Museum of Miniature Books
The Baku Museum of Miniature Books is the only museum of miniature books in the world, settled in the old part of Baku, called Inner City.[1] The museum started its operation on April 2, 2002. In 2015 the Museum of Miniature Books was presented the Certificate of the Guinness Book of Records as the largest private museum of miniature books.[2]
Palace of the Shirvanshahs
This famous palace, which dates back to the 1400s, is comprised of five distinct sections. Its complex is an ideal place for travelers who want to learn more about the area’s culture, architecture and traditions to visit. Construction on the palace’s main building began in 1411. Visitors can enter through its portal and make their way to the Divankhana—a stone pavilion inside the courtyard. The towering mausoleum serves as a burial space and was designed by the architect Memar Ali. Travelers can also make their way to the Palace Mosque, which is part of the palace that was later built in the 1430s, as well as the bath house, which is complete with 26 unique rooms.

This was the absolute perfect way to discover why Baku is known as the "Pearl of the Caspian"—a city that seamlessly blends ancient history with breathtaking modern marvels. Ulker was a great guide

I did this tour in the company of the guide Azay and 4 other tourists. He was very competent and informal in explaining the peculiarities of the city and is very kind in helping me to take a taxi at the end of the visit.

I recently joined the “Baku: Guided City Sightseeing Tour” with Ali, and it was a fantastic experience. The tour covers key landmarks like the Old City, Shirvanshah Palace, Flame Towers, and Maiden Tower, giving a solid overview of Baku’s rich history and modern flair. Ali was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and kept things moving at a good pace. Each stop was well-explained without dragging on, making it perfect for anyone wanting to see the essentials efficiently. Highly recommend this tour for a concise yet immersive Baku adventure!
