We did a Ballarat foodie & Gin Distillery walking tour. What a fabulous experience. Our host Jarrod and Emma have a great knowledge of all the restaurants we visited and the historical, architectural context along the way. A delightful couple who made the afternoon lots of fun. Totally AWESOME! This tour had everything; Indigenous food treats, artisanal gin, unique food pairing and diverse cultural cuisines showcasing Ballarat’s history. Ps. Don’t let the weather fool you like I did I thought it’s going to be horrible walking in the rain but no it was not. It was quite opposite!! It was not that bad but charming, magical and fun in a way.

Hidden lanes food and gin history tour was a winner, very well organised, super easy to follow and learning about the history of your town is always a good time. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting or want to be a tourist in your own backyard. And of course eating delicious food on the way is always a great way to spend the day too!

What a wonderful experience! This tour was an absolute delight from the moment I arrived at some of Ballarat’s best venues, we were treated to delicious food and an incredible variety of gin tasters. Each one was unique and full of flavour. The tour guides were not only engaging but genuinely passionate, sharing fascinating stories about the history of each venue and the journey behind the spirits we tasted. I loved learning about how the alcohol is made, it added so much depth to the experience. It was relaxing, fun, and truly worthwhile. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great company, great drinks, and a touch of local charm.
