Had a fantastic day with Jimmy on the Banff to Jasper tour. Jimmy was so helpful and friendly and could not do enough for you. His knowledge was unbelievable as he covered many subjects, could jot have asked for more.

We had an amazing and eventful day on this tour which included the Colombia glacier visit and sky walk. Amazing views, top quality and entertaining commentary, and friendly and super professional drivers/guides. At the end of the tour on the drive from the Colombia centre about 2km out our bus broke down. This isn’t a negative because stuff happens. Long story short our driver Lutz and the second coach with passengers driver Dave were brilliant, dealt with this tour hiccup at the end of a long day brilliantly. Dave ended up taking most of us from the bust coach home and Lutz and Dave made sure the pastoral care of both coach parties were looked after. Long story short we got to our hotels late but happy and not disappointed or upset due to the straight clear and humorous communication. Thank you to the four Australians who stayed with the bust coach and Lutz while Dave’s coach took the rest of us passengers home. In the end about a 90 minute delay. And serendipity kicked in as we saw a black bear super close to the roadside. Sundog tours we don’t know your employer reward scheme but Dave and Lutz should be bought a beer for pulling off a win from a difficult situation, plus your rescue response was quick. Last thing with a coach full of tired passengers Dave made sure, mum, gran and lovely baby Franky got taken to their hotel first, they didn’t ask for it he just did and it was the right thing to do. Top marks for the tour and to Dave and Lutz for handling the breakdown so well. Do not be put off by this review, if anything do pick this tour with Sundog we had our best day yet.

It was a fantastic tour bus trip. We had Norm as our guide. His narrative and stories were informative. The boxed lunch was delicious with plenty of food and water for the whole trip. It was a long day but well worth the experience.

Dave was a great guide. He looked out for us, gave us lots of interesting information and despite us not being enthusiastic to go, took us to the Athabasca Waterfall, which was spectacular.

I wish I asked our driver/tour guide the right spelling of his name, whether it’s Sean or Shaun, so I can give him his flowers. For this review, I will call him Sean, as he repeated his name multiple times during the trip. As he would say, ‘Hello, I am Sean, and I am accountable!’ 😀 Sean elevated this experience for us with his kindness, knowledge and overall enthusiasm. He was not just shuttling us from Banff to Jasper but he was sharing all these stories and information, showing such passion about Jasper and the Rockies. When we were the last persons to get to the bus and he had to come and look for us, he was so kind in how he treated us, saying, we shouldn’t be stressed. It was just that compassion that set him apart. He kept saying how the trip should be stress-free and he delivered. The trip was just awesome because the Canadian Rockies and its lakes are just picturesque. Peyto lake and its turquoise waters was beautiful despite having so many people, and we stopped by so many spots for pictures. For the Glacier adventure, I recommend everyone to use water-proof boots as our sneakers just submerged our feet in cold water when we were walking on the glacier. The overall experience, with all the stops, the excellent, filling lunch (humongous sandwiches!) and our outstanding tour guide/driver Sean made that day shuttling from Banff to Jasper truly memorable! I liked our guide so much I asked for a picture! The price is a bit steep but with the Glacier adventure and stops we made, it was worth it! On SunDog tours, I went directly to their website to reserve a tour, and as an advice if you need to contact them, do contact [email protected] instead of using their chatbot because they respond there faster.

Definitely Dave, our driver, is the reason for 5 stars. Yes it was a good trip antsy but his sarcastic, witty humour just made us smile all day. He is very passionate about Jasper and he shared a lot of knowledge. I spotted a black beast and Dave spotted and reversed, so we watched him for a few minutes. The trip was very well organised. Timed to perfection. Included a tasty lunch. Deserves 5 star review

This tour was booked as part of our Canadian trip, via Hayes travel agents, we were picked up from the hotel in Banff, by David our tour guide and driver. Once everyone was on board the coach we quickly settled down for the journey to Jasper, and the tour commenced Dave was full of in formation on various aspects of the land scape we were seeing talking about the wild life we may see one our journey. We were very lucky to see a Black Bear by the side of the highway and Dave stopped and reversed the bus so we had the opportunity to grad a few photos before the bear went into the forest. The walk on the Glacier and the sky walk were good fun and again the drivers of the all terrain vehicles were again very knowledgeable about the glacier. The lunch that was provided was very good and plenty to eat, I had the chicken wrap which was really full of chicken and filling my wife had the beef sandwich which she said was very good. On the whole a great experience and a great way to travel between Banff and Jasper
