Watch out for tuk tuks and Thai police!!! Myself and 4 friends flagged down a taxi tuk tuk then agreed a small price to take us a short journey down the road in central Bangkok. Each had a beer in hand. Not drunk at all but a little merry. 9 or 10 minutes into our journey suddenly found ourselves surrounded by 4 Thai policeman on scooters. They pulled us over quickly and proceeded to take photos of each of our alcohol beverages then escorted us to a small police station down the road which I could only describe as a hut on the side of the road. Aka the sweat box. 7 policeman armed with M4’s and pistols proceeded to show us a googled piece of text which explained it’s basically illegal to drink alcohol on public transport if caught resulted into a 10000 baht fine each or a 6 month prison sentence £250 English. Which is only payable by cash. After bartering via google translate we managed to walk away with a 20600 baht for all 5 of us. I still feel if I was at 100% I could have at least saved myself a further 8 quid. Just a warning for all travellers don’t fall into the same trap.

Both my daughter and I think it was an ice-breaker between us and Bangkok. The tour is well organised, it is not over-packed but at the same time gives you a feel of the real (though still touristy) Bangkok. Hardly can say what was a highlite. We enjoyed all elements. Tuk-tuk rides, walks, places, food, stories from great guide P who was a hit himself. On top the company of fellow travellers was lovely and we had great chats and exchange. Should mention that though we were late for the start our driver waited and we joined the tour very quickly. After the tour our dear Mr. Samree took us back to the hotel and delivered to the front doors in a manner that not all limmo drivers can do ! Overall, great experience, highly recommend if you are in BKK.

Absolutely brilliant. We did a private Night Lights Tuk Tuk tour with our 4 and 2 year old. Tony was really fantastic, so kind and knowledgeable, and knew all the tricks to keep the kids entertained. All the food stops were excellent. Highly recommend this, a super easy way of seeing some of Bangkok especially with young children

Bangkok comes alive at night, and this tuk tuk tour was the perfect way to experience it on our honeymoon. Our guide, P, was a delight and a wealth of knowledge about Bangkok’s history, culture, and food. He had a great balance between storytelling and letting us simply enjoy the ride through the city. Our ride also started right at sunset - felt like I was in a movie :’) The tour was well curated and paced. We zipped between stops as a little caravan of friendly tuktuk drivers who made the whole experience feel fun and seamless. You cover a lot of ground in just a few hours, from beautifully lit temples at night to bustling night markets. The food stops were fantastic, P brought us to local street foods, a famous pad Thai spot, and we ended with realllly good mango sticky rice. Bangkok can feel a little overwhelming but this tour made the city feel more approachable. Everything was extremely organized, and P handled the crowds so smoothly that we skipped lines and never felt rushed. Such a fun way to kick off a trip and see Bangkok from a completely different perspective at night instead of sweating through temple visits during the day. Highly recommend. Thank you so much P and Mr. Thongpoon!
