We are food passionates and our aim is for you to have a very fun evening while tasting the best Basque tapas/pintxos of Bilbao and discovering the local history and traditions. With us you will taste at least the top 8 pintxos (traditional and modern Basque bites) all paired with a lovely variety of local drinks from wines to vermouths (we have options for all preferences).
This tour runs in English and in small groups only so it is much more personal. Our focus is in high quality food and drink, so the perfect choice for the most demanding foodies, just like we are!
This experience is as well a fabulous introduction to the history of Bilbao and the Basque Country as we walk around 3 of the most historic neighbourhoods of Bilbao. After the tour you would have learnt the "essential local rules" to order the best food when you are on your own. You will experience it like Basque people: walking around town and hopping from bar to bar pairing local food specialties with drinks.

5.00Fantastic experience of Bilbao through food and drink and culture. Marina, who was our guide, guided us very competently and kindly throughout the evening and adapted the food according to our preferences. Especially the first two stops are fantastic, and those we would not have been without. Marina was also very knowledgeable and responded to everything from culture, linguistics, history and politics to recommendations of literature. Impressive. Can really be recommended! As a bonus Marina sent us a lot of recommendations after the trip, so you get a lot of tips for the following days.

5.00This was a fantastic experience with a wide variety of pinxtos and local drinks. Usoa was knowledgeable and personable, explaining foods and wines as needed and also allowing us to socialize and enjoy. The pace was perfect and left us time for more evening activities if you're keeping Spain time. I particularly appreciated how curated this tour was. Some hit the traditional highlights. I found this tour to be more curated as if a friend living in Bilbao took me to their favorite places for drinks and bites (a friend with very good taste!).

5.00This tour was a great combination of local food and wine pairings, and history and culture. Our guide, Usoa, was extremely knowledgeable, and very open in commenting and answering questions. She gave us a preview of each pinxto bar’s offerings and history, and what we’d be eating and drinking. Her selections gave us samples of more exotic specialties, typical local pinxtos and some newer potions like lamb kebabs in a curry sauce. My favorite was a potato purée with mushroom, but every dish from spider crab to sausage wrapped in a corn tortilla, was very good. The wine pairings were all great, and we got a sample of the local cider before finishing the evening with a truly phenomenal postre, a brioche drenched in a caramel sauce and mango sorbet. Usoa guided us efficiently from locations in the center to the Old Town, pointing out landmarks and in many instances personalizing the history with good humor and candor. A great host and guide, and a great tour experience. Heartily recommended.

5.00A great thing to do if you're travelling solo, or just want to get a taste of Bilbao. The group was small and pleasant company. Our lovely guide Usoa was knowledgeable about both the food and wine, and the history of the city and the Basque people. The restaurants we visited were all very different and the food tasty. Usoa sent us info about the restaurantsand wines later. I highly recommend this tour.
