Take a scenic drive to the southwestern part of our Island, visit our busy fishing village and stretched out coastal beach of São Pedro / Santo André; see the village in action!
Monte Verde
Monte Verde, 774m or 2,539ft, the highest point of Sao Vicente, at the summit we will enjoy a cup of locally grown tea or coffee at the Tea House, while taking in the spectacular views of the Island; On a clear day you will see the Islands of Santo Antão, São Nicolau, Santa Luzia, Ilhéu Raso and Branco - Mindelo and the Coastal beaches are stunning from the top!

2.00De tour was helaas teleurstellend. De gids was vriendelijk en deed haar best, maar de inhoud van de tour viel tegen. In de beschrijving lijkt het alsof je veel verschillende plekken en culturen van het eiland ontdekt, maar in werkelijkheid reden we vooral door dorpen zonder veel bezienswaardigheden. Het eiland heeft naar ons gevoel ook weinig cultuur of eigenheid om echt te ontdekken, waardoor de stops vaak niet bijzonder waren. We bezochten ’s morgens het uitzichtpunt bij Monte Verde, maar door de bewolking was er helaas geen uitzicht. Daar kan de organisatie natuurlijk niets aan doen. We gingen ook samen eten, wat prima was. In de beschrijving stond ook dat we konden snorkelen en mogelijk schildpadden konden zien, maar dit is uiteindelijk niet gebeurd. Wat jammer was, is dat er onderweg bijna nergens iets open was, waardoor we weinig van de lokale sfeer konden ervaren. Uiteindelijk vonden we de tour zijn prijs niet waard. Zelf rondrijden had ons waarschijnlijk evenveel laten zien. The tour was unfortunately disappointing. The guide was friendly and clearly did her best, but the content of the tour fell short. The description makes it seem like you will discover many different places and cultures on the island, but in reality we mostly drove through villages without many sights. In our experience the island also has limited culture or uniqueness to explore, so many of the stops were not very interesting. We visited the viewpoint at Monte Verde in the morning, but unfortunately there was no view because of the clouds. Of course, that is not something the organization can control. We also had lunch together, which was fine. The description also mentioned that we could snorkel and possibly see turtles, but this did not happen. Another downside was that almost nothing was open along the way, so we could not really experience the local atmosphere. In the end, we felt the tour was not worth the money. Driving around ourselves would probably have shown us just as much.

5.00We had an amazing tour around São Vicente, visiting beautiful beaches, local villages, and Monte Verde. Everything was perfectly paced and truly enjoyable. Paulo was an outstanding tour guide — extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing local culture and history. The food was excellent, and it was great to experience the island through the perspective of a local. Highly recommended!

5.00what a great way to see more than "just" the main city on the island, to learn about life on sao vicente - and not just the sanitized touristy bits - and to have a great day and lots of laughs. our guide danny and driver edson were both not only knowledgeable and professional, but also open to our questions and interest and we even did a little impromptu detour to go see the women creators of "simili" in salamansa because of a chance meeting in the street and our curiousity. i liked the experience so much, i booked another trip with them - day trip to santo antao - and enjoyed that one as well.

5.00Our day trip to Sao Vicente was a great experience. Everything was arranged to perfection: the pick-up, the ferry and the tour of the island. Our driver was calm and experienced, which made the trip extra pleasant. Guide Danny was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. He took us quietly and safely to Monte Verde. Furthermore, he shared a lot of interesting information about the island and made us feel welcome. The communication with Greenline Tours went smoothly. In short, a fantastic day to remember!
