Le Bois-d'Oingt

After crossing lovely villages surrounded by vines, you will visit a local wine estate. You will immediately be immersed in the friendly atmosphere of Beaujolais when you will meet the producer. You will taste several red wines but also white and maybe some rosés. This is a good introduction to Beaujolais wines, that, we hope, will give you the desire to come back and taste more !

Romaine was friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell he enjoyed sharing his expertise about the region and the wines. The 2 wineries we visited made you feel at home and the wine was wonderful for a fair price. I wish I had more room in my suitcase to take home these wines!

Romain did a great job telling us about the wines and how they are made. First winery was small, but incredible. We tried 7 wines in a tasting format, conducted by the owner. He gave some extra pours on the ones you liked too…. Second winery not impressed,, but still worth the stop. Thank you

We loved this tour! Our guide AD was smart and knew so much about wine, and the vineyards we visited were both wonderful. We learned a lot about the winemaking process and enjoyed some delicious wine as well!

Awesome tour. It was shorter than expected. We didn’t really see how wine is produced. We were lead to a vineyard saw some vines with baby grapes then lead to the tasting room. That was winery no. 1. The wines were very good. I’m not much of a white wine person but the Beaujolais wines were delectable. Our guide Romain was very knowledgeable and passionate about wines. He made our drive entertaining. The second winery was pretty small. Again we didn’t tour rooms or was shown any vats or barrels. We were lead to a tasting room. The heat and humidity was too much so going into a cellar was good enough for me. Overall both wineries provided excellent wines and shared so much about this region. Only drawback is they do not ship their wines to the US. We don’t check in luggage so we couldn’t buy any. : (

We really enjoyed the ride through the Beaujolais region. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the region. We really appreciated the white and red wines in both vineyards. It was our 1st time trying wines from the Gammay varietal.
