You'll gain a wealth of knowledge from someone who was born and reared and still lives in the community where the tour takes place, 17 years of experience giving the tours. I am 1 of 5 tour guides in the whole of Belfast that can say this. You will experience both sides of the community where the conflict took place, an unbiased tour and lots of colorful murals that depict the struggles along the way, where you can sign the famous peace wall and you'll have plenty of photo opportunities. This tour is a great experience for the whole family and will take you back in time right up to the present day. Tour is 90 minutes of history, learning and plenty of "craic" (laughter) along the way.

The tour was fascinating and informative, a really great way to wrap up our trip. Keelan was awesome, gracious and incredibly patient and hospitable. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to get to know the history of Belfast.

The political tour of Belfast was incredibly interesting and raw. Our tour guide, Caolan, was so knowledgeable and spoke with complete honesty, drawing deeply from his lived experience. He spoke with passion, as if it were the first time he was telling the story. He shared the history of the Troubles—events that were not that long ago—with great sincerity. Hearing about the suffering firsthand made it all the more powerful and moving. So hard to believe it was only a short time ago our people were treated so terribly.

Interesting trip through the Troubles History and Local Politics of West Belfast, my guide Keelin had a wealth of knowledge. I also really like how the exact itinerary wasn’t set in stone and the tour and info could be varied depending on interests, direction of conversation etc.

A great and reasonably unbiased view of the troubles from a very friendly and amenable cab driver - would have gone on beyond the full 2 hour trip if I’d let him!

This tour was incredible. Our driver and tour guide, Diarmaid, was excellent. He told us so much about what was happening during the troubles. He grew up right in the area where the fighting was going on and so he shed a lot of light on the subject for us. He was also just a friendly, nice guy in general and you felt like you were touring with a friend who knew a lot about the subject. 100% recommend.

Our guide was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the “troubles” in Belfast. He stopped often and we spent 2 hours traveling around the city. This tour encouraged me to do more research when I got back home. A+

This tour is amazing and Caolen was brilliant! I would love to go back and hear so much more, he’s just a genuine down to earth guy, and he definitely made the tour so much better! Seeing the peace wall and gates were very haunting and humbling and it’s scary to think these gates still get closed at night😢

A fascinating tour with a passionate and knowledgeable guide named Caolan (who looks nothing like Conor McGregor!) A balanced view of the history, he definitely brought to life what we had only ever seen on the news. Would definitely recommend!

Keian was passionate and knowledgeable about the troubles. With out providing a bias either way. Although we had researched the subject and provided information we were not aware of. A truly enjoyable tour.

This was a last minute decision to do this tour and there are no regrets. Our tour guide picked us up where we asked to be picked up, introduced himself and off we went. If you want to know the history of Belfast and the "troubles", this was excellent. Our tour guide was one of only a few that lives in the area of the peace wall and could talk about both sides. This was honestly one of the most memorable parts of our 2 week trip to Ireland. Thank you to Diarmaid, you are wonderful!
