You'll gain a wealth of knowledge from someone who was born and reared and still lives in the community where the tour takes place, 17 years of experience giving the tours. I am 1 of 5 tour guides in the whole of Belfast that can say this. You will experience both sides of the community where the conflict took place, an unbiased tour and lots of colorful murals that depict the struggles along the way, where you can sign the famous peace wall and you'll have plenty of photo opportunities. This tour is a great experience for the whole family and will take you back in time right up to the present day. Tour is 90 minutes of history, learning and plenty of "craic" (laughter) along the way.

This tour is a must in Belfast. Dairmaid, the driver and guide, grew up and still lives in a community that is part of the tour. He is a student of the history that is what this tour is all about. He has a lot of information that is professionally presented in a respectful and unbiased way. Dairmaid also has an ipad with images from the past that give a much broader understanding of what he was speaking about. I learned a lot from this tour, about history, about Belfast past and present and about life today in the communities we visited. I highly recommend this tour, it was excellent. A solid 6 out of 5.

Caelan was amazing, he made the tour for me! His knowledge of the area, troubles history is second to none! He is a really nice and easy going guy, who is open to conversation and questions along the tour. I would highly recommend this tour, I loved it and felt I learnt a lot

Wanted to do this to understand the history and context from local people without the interference from press. An incredibly moving, insightful and important experience from start to end. Caolan was an amazing guide, we appreciated his heartfelt unbiased perspective and delivery (not all of the other companies seem to offer this from what I have seen on YouTube) . He was very generous with his time. We learned more than we expected and felt very humbled by the experience. We are from Liverpool which has many parallels with Belfast in terms of culture etc and it’s so hard to hear what happened in this wonderful city. There are a lot of operators in this space, choose this company if you want to prioritise learning over simple sightseeing. Thank you to the team involved.

The political tour of Belfast was incredibly interesting and raw. Our tour guide, Caolan, was so knowledgeable and spoke with complete honesty, drawing deeply from his lived experience. He spoke with passion, as if it were the first time he was telling the story. He shared the history of the Troubles—events that were not that long ago—with great sincerity. Hearing about the suffering firsthand made it all the more powerful and moving. So hard to believe it was only a short time ago our people were treated so terribly.

Interesting trip through the Troubles History and Local Politics of West Belfast, my guide Keelin had a wealth of knowledge. I also really like how the exact itinerary wasn’t set in stone and the tour and info could be varied depending on interests, direction of conversation etc.

A great and reasonably unbiased view of the troubles from a very friendly and amenable cab driver - would have gone on beyond the full 2 hour trip if I’d let him!

This tour was incredible. Our driver and tour guide, Diarmaid, was excellent. He told us so much about what was happening during the troubles. He grew up right in the area where the fighting was going on and so he shed a lot of light on the subject for us. He was also just a friendly, nice guy in general and you felt like you were touring with a friend who knew a lot about the subject. 100% recommend.
