Belfast City Hall
We begin at the grand Belfast City Hall — a symbol of the city’s explosive rise during the Industrial Revolution. At the turn of the 20th century, Belfast was one of the most powerful cities in the British Empire, driven by linen, shipbuilding, and engineering. Here, we set the stage: how a small settlement transformed into an industrial giant — and how that rapid growth would shape everything that followed, from prosperity to division.
Titanic Memorial Garden
Just beside City Hall, we step into the Titanic Memorial Garden — a quieter, more reflective space. Here, we explore Belfast’s most famous creation, RMS Titanic, not just as a ship of engineering brilliance, but as a human story. We’ll discuss the pride the city felt in building her, the devastating impact of her sinking, and the names of the local people who never returned. This is where industrial triumph meets tragedy — and where Belfast’s global reputation was forever sealed.

The Corey guide is quite friendly and demonstrates mastery of Belfast's history and culture. He even carried in his backpack a piece of linen and a book with images, which facilitated the explanation. He also speaks Spanish fluently.

Corey is a natural storyteller with many interesting anecdotes about Belfast as he guides you round the city centre. Although we’ve visited Belfast twice before and been on a bus tour we still learnt plenty of history and got a feel of the city. His insider knowledge is excellent and it’s a must for visitors to Belfast who want to know a bit more about the city.

Corey is a personable and knowledgeable chap with a great love of this wonderful city as well as a desire to share the full history of Belfast (rather than just the Troubles). He does this in a unique way with personal experiences, stories and old photographs. Keen and engaging; he answered questions about the city with integrity and a hearty sense of humour. Pragmatic in his approach, he recommended local bars and restaurants as well as other tourist attractions. If you have a few hours to spare Corey is your man!

Corey was an excellent host - warm, friendly and engaging. He is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about his home city and as well as showing us the key parts of the centre, he shared his personal stories and experiences of growing up in Belfast. We went on to visit several of his recommendations such as the Linen Hall library and City Hall.
