What To Expect
Bobby Sands Mural
Travel to the famous Falls road and arrive at one of the most iconic buildings in the city (Divis tower). Here you will listen to an introductory talk to set the context of the tour and explain the series of events that lead up to August 1969 and the beginning of a period of conflict in Ireland,more commonly known as the'Troubles'.

From start to finish, Tony was incredibly knowledgeable and delivered a very interesting and informative tour that gave us a much deeper understanding of the city's history. What really set the experience apart was his willingness to share his own unique and powerful insight, and it was a real privilege to hear his story. Tony guided us through everything in a thoughtful, respectful and balanced way, and it was clear how passionate he is about Belfast’s history and his work. He explained complex and sensitive topics in a way that was engaging and easy to understand, without ever losing the human side of the story. We came away feeling genuinely moved and inspired. Tony is a lovely man and an absolutely brilliant guide. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belfast.

Our guide Jackie did a phenomenal job educating us about the history of the Troubles, delivering such a powerful, thoughtful and nuanced perspective. I was extremely moved to hear about this topic from someone who experienced the Troubles firsthand, and the way he shared that personal connection made every moment of the tour feel incredibly meaningful. This experience will stay with me forever.

5.00Tony was a spectacular tour guide for the political murals taxi tour. There is so much more to the history of this area than I ever knew. I was very impressed with how Tony was able to keep a balanced perspective during the tour, especially because he was affected so personally by things. He was very honest about what happened, but came across so strongly as an advocate for peace as the way forward. This tour lasted about 90 minutes and was very impactful. This is one we will be sharing with friends when we return.
