What an amazing way to spend our time. Our guide - An - was superb and taught us a lot about the way of life in the Mekong Delta. We experienced and learned about so many things: the making of chocolate, coconut candies and sugar cane drinks, the delectable taste of water coconut (very different from regular ones!). The river boat ride was relaxing, the scooter ride through the village lots of fun and the meal (vegan for us / regular for our companion) was delicious! Thank you An (and the uncles) for a fantastic time.

I really enjoyed the trip Mekong River. I just love that these kinds of small group trips are much more personal and authentic than the big tours that the masses use. I highly recommend it. I am always thrilled how warm the locals are here.

Today we had a surprisingly wonderful tour! Everything was very well organized: the transport, lunch, a beautiful boat trip through nature, and visits to a coconut factory and a weaving workshop. Our tour guide (heavily pregnant) spoke good English and was very friendly. This is definitely not a standard tour where you run into lots of tourists, but truly a back to nature experience. 👍

My family and I were welcomed by our guide An at our accommodation and we had lunch with the entire group there first. The food was typical of the country, very delicious and very sumptuous. I'm sure you'll get fed up there. Her team turned out to be trustworthy riders who took us by scooter to the first stop of the tour: a small chocolate shop. There we were introduced to the steps of chocolate production and offered small samples of the cocoa bean at various stages of production until completion. We were allowed to experience the same thing during the production of the coconut candies. An had an answer to all questions and we were allowed to try generously. Afterwards we went to a small cottage where typical sleeping mats were made. We were also allowed to lend a hand ourselves, of course led. The garden next door turned out to be a coconut farm, where we cut the coconuts down from the tree and afterwards enjoyed the contents of them. Super insights into the typical village activities! Afterwards we went back on the motorcycle and we continued through the palm-covered streets. We stopped between small cottages and their associated coconut farms for a short photo break. Finally we went on a small wooden boat on which we could relax in beanbags. We were provided with water and had to do nothing but enjoy the view and take photos. A relaxed conclusion with small explanations of the environment, flora and fauna of our guide and testing a water coconut. In the end we were taken back to our accommodation and were ready on time for our onward journey. Thanks for the great tour:)

From the moment An, my tour guide, greeted me with a warm smile at my hotel, I knew it was going to be a pleasant day. She speaks excellent English, making every story about Ben Tre’s scenery and local life easy to follow, and she even snapped some amazing photos for me along the way! I also had the chance to meet the business owner, whose friendliness made the experience even more memorable. While as a Malaysian Kelantanese, the scenes and traditions felt somewhat familiar, the trip offered a fresh perspective on Ben Tre and turned out to be a delightful way to spend my weekend.
