Go underground on a 1-hour walking history tour through Seattle's original neighborhood. Our experienced guides lead small groups above, and beneath, Pioneer Square to the street level that existed in the 1890s. Explore underground pathways that were built more than 120 years ago, learning details on early Seattle history, why these spaces were built, and how they have been used (and misused) over the years. Marvel at how this former tidal flat has since transformed into one of the 20 largest cities in the United States.

Good tour. About 1.5 hours. Who knew there was a Seattle underground? Would be good if the group size was a bit smaller.

We had tons of fun visiting the underground and learning about history of Seattle. Our guide, Kieran was very knowledgeable and engaging. His enthusiasm and ability to teach made it very interesting. I would recommend it to anyone who could negotiate steps as you will have some up and down during the tour. Absolutely worth the time.

Our tour guide was good, she did a good job explaining the how/why the underground was necessary. Didn't explain why some places were still available or why they were not connected. It was a lot of walking (which was expected) to the different entry points but just want to warn some people. Pay attention walking down the stairs and watch out for low beams.

My friends and I went on the adult night tour with Mike and I’m so glad we chose that one! The stories were really interesting and fun to hear about, and Mike was a super engaging and hilarious guide. I’d definitely refer more people to the tour just for him specifically. The underground access wasn’t as lengthy as I was expecting, but I didn’t mind because we had so much fun.
